President Donald Trump said during a press briefing at the White House Tuesday that he had signed legislation that will sanction China after the country that passed a strict "national security law" that places severe limits on the rights of those who are protesting against Chinese rule in Hong Kong.During the press conference, Trump said his administration would no longer view Hong Kong differently than it views mainland China.Following the announcement about his signing of the legislation, Trump's address quickly turned into a campaign-style speech, deriding Presumptive Democratic Nominee Joe Biden. POWAY, Calif., (KGTV)-- Fire crews battled a house fire in Poway Sunday afternoon after neighbors heard hissing sounds and an explosion. Poway and San Diego Fire departments responded to the 13,000 block of Silver Saddle Lane after getting a 9-1-1 call at around 1:15 pm. When crews arrived, they found the side of the home on fire. "The fire was just on the garage and the exterior of the garage. It appears it did not make it into the house," Poway Fire Battalion Chief Ray Fried said. Batt. Chief Fried said the methane levels were too high, above 0 ppm, which meant his fire crews needed to stand down until SDG&E cleared the gas leak. "We're not going inside at this time, because the gas readings are fairly high inside the house," Batt. Chief Fried said. No one was inside the home at the time of the explosion. POWAY, Calif. (KGTV) -- A rope is being blamed for December’s weeklong boil water advisory in Poway, according to a newly-released report.The report says a surge in storm water caused a backflow in the system. A rope stuck inside a gate designed to keep water out of the reservoir allowed the storm water to seep into the area. As a result of the incident, the affected section of the reservoir had to be disinfected and refilled. RELATED: Inspection found 12 flaws in Poway's water delivery systemA boil water was issued November 30 and canceled December 6 as a result of the contamination. The advisory was issued after residents reported brownish water coming from their faucets on November 29. The report also goes into detail about what is being done as a result of the advisory. President Donald Trump once again floated the idea of adding a "Space Force" as a branch of the US military on Tuesday at the White House.Trump's comments came as he presented the Army college football team with the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy, annually awarded to the best college football team among Army, Navy and Air Force."You will be part of the five proud branches of the United States Armed Forces: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and the Coast Guard," Trump said, addressing the Army football team. "And we're actually thinking about a sixth, and that would be the Space Force. President Donald Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize by a Norwegian member of parliament known for his views against immigration, Fox News, The Independent and The Daily Beast report.According to Fox News, Trump was nominated for the prize by Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament, for his work in attempting to bring peace between Israel and the United Arab Emirates."For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees," Tybring-Gjedde said during an interview on Fox News.While the number of Nobel Peace Prize nominees varies from year to year, more than 300 people and organizations are nominated for the 2020 prize. Trump himself was nominated for the prize in 2018 for organizing a summit with North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un. Tybring-Gjedde was among those who also submitted that nomination.According to The Daily Beast, Tybring-Gjedde is staunchly against immigration and is known for making controversial statements about Muslims.
