A Democratic candidate in Wisconsin's gubernatorial race released a campaign ad showing her breastfeeding while detailing her efforts to ban the use of Bisphenol A in baby bottles and sippy cups in the state.In the ad, Kelda Roys talks about her effort to pass legislation that prohibited the use of the chemical, known as BPA, while she was in the state Assembly; as she describes her legislative activities, her husband hands their daughter to her and she begins to breastfeed.BPA is used in plastics for consumer product packaging and resin for can linings.Roys was a state lawmaker from 2009 to 2013 and served as Democratic caucus chair. In her gubernatorial campaign, she is advocating universal paid family and sick leave, equal pay for women, a minimum wage, widely expanded health care access, and full access to reproductive care for women.This isn't the first time that candidates have employed bold moves in campaign ads as a strategy. Tom Perriello, a Democratic candidate for governor of Virginia last year, stood in front of an ambulance being crushed, saying it was a metaphor for the House GOP passing a bill to dismantle the Affordable Care Act. A federal judge in Florida has ruled that the state must give voters whose mismatched signatures disqualified their provisional and mail-in ballots until Saturday at 5 p.m. ET to correct those signature problems -- extending the deadline by two days.The ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Mark Walker comes in a suit brought by U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson's campaign and Democratic Party officials, who are looking to the courts to help them find votes to narrow the margin in the race with Republican challenger Gov. Rick Scott.The order affects approximately 5,000 voters who sent in ballots by mail or were forced to sign provisional ballots, but whose signatures did not match those on file with the state."There are dozens of reasons a signature mismatch may occur, even when the individual signing is in fact the voter. Disenfranchisement of approximately 5,000 voters based on signature mismatch is a substantial burden," Walker wrote in the order.It is not yet clear exactly how this ruling impacts the timetable to meet Thursday's 3 p.m. recount deadline, or whether there are enough ballots in question to potentially change the outcome of race.The ruling is narrower than the wider relief that Democrats were seeking -- to invalidate the signature-match requirement entirely. Florida law requires signatures on vote-by-mail and provisional ballots match the signatures on file for each voter. Attorneys for Nelson's re-election campaign argued that the signature-match rules violate the US Constitution and called for the judge to invalidate the law. Lawyers representing the state of Florida and the National Republican Senatorial Committee, along with others, argued that the law was valid and constitutional.The number of ballots in question is less than the margin of votes separating the closest race undergoing a recount. Scott led Nelson in the unofficial, pre-recount tally by more than 12,500 votes.The gubernatorial contest between Republican former Rep. Ron DeSantis and Democratic Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum is also being recounted, but the margin is wider -- nearly 34,000 votes. A body found in Costa Rica has been identified as a Florida woman who went missing while she was on vacation, according to her family. The father and brother of Carla Stefaniak identified the body as the 36-year-old Tuesday night.During an exclusive interview with ABC Action News, Stefaniak's father, Carlos, said his heart shattered when he saw her body.Costa Rica's Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) said an autopsy performed on her body showed that she had stab wounds around the neck and extremities and blunt-force trauma to the head.Family friend, Greg Zwolinsky, who is with them in Costa Rica, said he wants everyone to remember Stefaniak based on the radiance of her personality that is portrayed in pictures of her smiling.On Monday, a spokesperson for the OIJ confirmed that remains were found. The body was found in a wooded area as investigators combed through the region, roughly 1,000 feet away from where Miami resident and Tampa native, Carla Stefaniak, spent what was supposed to be her final night in Costa Rica last week, Judicial Investigator Director Walter Espinoza said in a press conference. On Monday night around 11 p.m., OIJ officials detained a security guard at the apartment complex, 32-year-old Bismarck Espinoza Martínez. Martínez has been in Costa Rica since June 2018.After Stefaniak was reported missing, agents began to investigate where she was last seen. Officials say that Martínez had the time and space to commit this crime and became a suspect because of the investigation. Specifically, his statements did not match video surveillance in and around the area at that time.In addition, fluids found in the apartment where Stefaniak was staying have the consistency of blood, OIJ officials said.Stefaniak traveled to Costa Rica to celebrate her 36th birthday, according to the family. She left for Costa Rica on Thanksgiving Day but had not been heard from since Tuesday, her brother, Carlos Caicedo, told ABC Action News.Meanwhile, the lawyer representing the complex that houses the Airbnb told ABC Action News they were "deeply saddened and devastated by the tragic events that occurred last week" and said that the owners were cooperating with authorities. He said the rental had been temporarily closed while officials conduct the investigation. The lawyer released the following statement:"Since 2013, Villa Le Mas has operated a small vacation rental facility located at San Antonio, Escazu, Costa Rica. We have received over a thousand guests with wonderful reviews about the property and our service.We are deeply saddened and devastated by the tragic events that occurred last week. A Los Angeles coroner says rapper Mac Miller died from a mixture of some pretty heavy drugs. The rapper died two months ago and his autopsy shows the combination of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol is what killed him.Miller was 26 years old and a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
