SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A surfer was found unconscious, face down in the water near Pacific Beach early Wednesday.San Diego lifeguards were notified of the woman in her 30's just after 8 a.m. inside the surf zone at Tourmaline Surf Park.10News spoke to Jason Glover, a paddleboard surfer who set up a robot-camera on the beach to capture surf videos. One of the clips captured the audio of the exact moment bystanders found the woman unconscious.“Hey! Hey! Call 9-1-1,” they said. Fellow surfers immediately pulled her out of the water and started CPR. Lifeguards continued life-saving efforts once they arrived, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue spokeswoman Mónica Mu?oz.The woman began breathing again and was transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital, but her condition was not immediately known.“They immediately brought her in. But that’s what surfers do. Whenever there’s a crew out here, you know you’re going to be fine because everyone looks after each other,” Glover said. It's unclear what caused the woman to become unconscious. 1042

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- An Escondido man who pleaded guilty to firing several rounds into the air in a crowded area when he couldn't get tickets to an Ice Cube concert was sentenced to three years behind bars Wednesday. Daniel Elizarraras, 22, pleaded guilty to discharging a gun at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in early September of 2018. Authorities say Elizarraras raised the gun before shooting into the air while he was in a large crowd near the ticket booth. Elizarraras was shot three times in the torso and once in the arm after he pointed the gun at a deputy. RELATED: Man admits he opened fire before Ice Cube concert at Del Mar FairgroundsElizarraras was facing up to 19 years behind bars, but a charge of assault on a peace officer with a semi-automatic weapon was dismissed as part of his plea. Defense Attorney Pedro Bernal said Elizarraras was severely depressed and trying to kill himself by suicide by cop. They asked for a lower sentence. However, the prosecution said he acted violently, causing chaos, and the situation could have been much worse.Judge Kathleen Lewis agreed saying, "I think it’s amazing that no one was injured or killed in this circumstance.”Before the shooting, officials said the venue was at capacity and began turning people away from the horse races and concert. Fights erupted between security guards and would-be concert-goers who were upset that they wouldn’t be allowed into the show. That’s when the deputy pulled out his Taser, which was ineffective. Authorities say Eikermann pulled out his gun and shot Elizarraras four times. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - An Oceanside woman says she was left feeling violated after her car was stolen from the Porto Vista Hotel's valet in Little Italy. "I had to leave some of my things in my car, like my work computer, some of my personal items that were expensive and personal, but I trusted they would be ok because it was a valet service at the hotel," said Ashley Holthaus, whose car was stolen. Her friend had a room at the hotel, and their group of friends went to a concert at San Diego State that evening. "The next morning, around 6:30 a.m. I got up and walked over to the valet and gave him my ticket and at that point, he looked for my keys and couldn't find my keys or record of my car being at the hotel."Holthaus says the next few hours were extremely stressful as staff tried to figure out what happened. She says she was asked to wait to call police until they had a better idea of what happened.Holthaus was eventually shown surveillance footage. She describes seeing a tall man in a hoodie walk up to the unattended valet kiosk, take her keys, walk straight to her car, and drive out of the parking garage. "Why am I paying for a service and then have something like this happen and then there's no accountability from the hotel?" said Holthaus. Her company's IT department was able to track the computer which was in the car; she says it was located out of the country.Holthaus says to make matters worse, the hotel charged her for the valet and did not offer to compensate her friend for the room.An attorney for the hotel tells 10News there hasn't been an incident like this in Porto Vista's 30 years of operation. The attorney says they've turned over surveillance to police and are cooperating with the investigation. He added that management is taking measure to ensure this doesn't happen again. Holthaus estimates the total loss was over ,000. 1877
