Food banks around the country are overwhelmed. It has become normal in recent months to see hundreds of people or cars in a line stretching for miles outside food banks and pantries. Some people are even beginning to show up hours before scheduled food distributions."I came here at 11 o'clock and there was already three people in front of me,” said Michael Sell, who waited outside a drive-thru food pantry that opened at 1 p.m. near Springfield, Massachusetts.Sell is a retired mental health professional, who now relies on pantries in the region. He says he’s seen the pantry lines grow for months."It is almost incomprehensible how many people are hurting,” Sell added.“Every distribution we are running is out of food, and I am calling suppliers, and I'm calling food banks like, 'we need more food’,” said Robin Bialecki, with the Easthampton Community Center.Bialecki also works with the Western Massachusetts Food Bank to hold a drive-thru pantry several times a month. Every month the pandemic goes on, it has become more difficult to provide enough food for all the people in her community in need. There have been times where the pantry has had to ask people to take less food so they could help more families.“A lot of people who normally give during the holiday season, they're keeping that food,” said Bialecki. “They have lost their jobs.”Some people who used to donate regularly are now seeking help from her pantry. In the 19 years that she has organized pantry food distributions, she has never seen a need at this level.“We definitely hope we do not get to the point where we will not be able to feel the need,” said Bialecki.In the next few weeks, if Congress does not pass a stimulus package, it is estimated that at least 12 million Americans will lose their unemployment benefits, and 11 to 13 million people could be evicted from their homes. Ford is recalling about 350,000 trucks for a problem that could cause them to roll even after the driver shifts into park.The automaker says the issue affects 2018 Ford F-150 and Ford Expedition vehicles with 10-speed automatic transmissions, as well as Ford F-650 and F-750 vehicles with 6-speed automatic transmissions.Ford says a piece of equipment on the affected vehicles can become dislodged over time, which means the car won't be in the gear that it looks like it's in, such as park.This means that if the driver shifts the car into park, the car might not actually be in park — and there would not be a warning message to indicate that. If he or she doesn't use a parking brake, Ford says the vehicle could roll.Ford says it's aware of one reported accident and injury.The company is also recalling more than 100 other vehicles for a missing transmission roll pin. If the pin is missing, the company says that the transmission on those vehicles might eventually lose the ability to park, even if the driver shifts the car into that gear.Ford says that problem affects around 160 of the 2017 and 2018 Ford F-150s, 2018 Ford Expeditions, 2018 Lincoln Navigators and 2018 Ford Mustangs with 10R80 transmissions.  1231

So, when she heard about The Attention Arcade, a new game system that helps kids focus, she was immediately interested."I figured if it was something we could try and it would work and we could help other kids,” said Lopez. “If it does work, why not do it?”DeLeon is part of a beta test group for Brain Leap Technologies, the company that created the game system. The game comes with a black bar that attaches to your PC. It tracks the child’s eye movements and allows the child to control the game with his or her eyes."The eye movement system and the attention system share neurocircuitry," said Bran Leap Technologies CEO Jeff Coleman. "We are leveraging the eye-movement system. It’s really hard to pin down the attention system, but we leverage the fact that they’re connected to train attention through eye movements."In a new study done at the University of California San Diego that's backed by the National Institutes of Health, Coleman says they saw on average of 55 percent improvement in inhibitory control. For decades, the Del Mar Races have been more than just horses. It's the food, drinks and fashion that San Diegan's spend all year anxiously awaiting."It brings the festivities. Instead of everyone just coming for a race day, it makes the women have a reason to put something pretty on like hats or go all out with a dress," said Deena Von Yokes. For the past 8 years, Deena was a judge for the race's annual hat contest.But as COVID-19 kept fans away this year, she and organizers didn't let the contest take a back seat."Home turf club is what we’re calling it.
