Two people have died in a partial building collapse at an Amazon Fulfillment Center in southeast Baltimore, officials said Saturday.Baltimore Fire Department spokesman Chief Roman Clark said thermal imaging equipment was being used to determine if anyone else may be trapped inside. VALLEY CENTER, Calif. (KGTV) — A North County student was arrested Friday after a reported school threat.Administrators at Oak Glen High School in Valley Center learned of a potential threat from a suspended, 15-year-old student at about 8 a.m., San Diego Sheriff's Department said. Deputies did not elaborate on the nature of the threat.The high school and nearby Valley Center High were placed in a lock down as deputies responded. Deputies identified the student and soon located and arrested the suspect.SDSO said a search of the student's home was conducted, but no weapons were located.Both high schools were released from their lock downs just after 9 a.m.The student has been booked into Juvenile Hall, SDSO said. VENTURA, Calif. (KGTV) - A suspect who led California Highway Patrol officers on a pursuit onto the 101 Freeway died of an apparent poisoning.The chase began Wednesday in Oxnard during a vehicle check, according to ABC-affiliate KABC. CHP officials said information came back on the car belonging to a rape suspect. When officers tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver refused, KABC reported.The chase continued northbound onto the 101 Freeway and ended in Ventura. The vehicle came to a stop in the center median, though CHP officers told KABC it's unclear if the suspect crashed of stopped the vehicle on his own.The suspect was seen motionless outside his vehicle, with the passenger-side glass shattered, according to KABC. Officers told the station they believed the suspect possibly poisoned himself.No officers were reportedly injured.Both sides of the 101 Freeway were initially shut down between Sanjon Road to Seaward Avenue, but some lanes have since reopened, KABC reported. 1028
Two dogs are safe after running onto a Phoenix freeway and disrupting traffic on Wednesday. Video from Scripps station KNXV in Phoenix showed two dogs running onto Interstate 17 near Deer Valley Road. The Arizona Department of Public Safety tried to catch the dogs, but they refused to stop. DPS stopped traffic for a brief time while troopers and Phoenix firefighters attempted to stop the dogs. Officials were able to grab one dog on I-17, but the other dog ran from DPS and away from the freeway into an RV park.Residents at the RV park were able to capture the second dog after almost an hour of running free.
