A dad is credited with rescuing his daughter Sunday after she was allegedly grabbed by a woman at a south Phoenix park. Phoenix police report that on Sunday afternoon, 43-year-old Denise Charlene Antone grabbed a 7-year-old girl at a park and wouldn't let her go.Police say Antone appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time. She allegedly grabbed the girl and refused to let her go, until the girl's father intervened. He demanded Antone release his daughter, which she eventually did. A container of screws that fell off a vehicle and littered the roadway in Jackson County, Mississippi, caused flat tires along nearly 30 miles of interstate.Mississippi Highway Patrol responded Tuesday after getting numerous calls about stranded motorists near the Pascagoula River Bridge. When officers arrived, they discovered sheet metal screws scattered across Interstate 10 West. In total, 36 passenger cars and three semis each had multiple flat tires."Wrecker response time was upwards to three hours for [motorists] waiting on tow trucks due to the number of calls for service," the Mississippi Highway Patrol said in a statement."Troopers assisted [motorists] with changing flat tires and providing lane safety" for those who were stranded.Courtney Beauvais was on her way home to Ocean Springs when she noticed that she had a flat. Her car was equipped with run-flat tires, designed to resist deflation when punctured, so she was able to exit the highway and make it home."I noticed the car wobble a little bit when I exited," she said. "When I got home, I noticed screws in the side wall and in the bottom of the front tire."She now has to get a new tire for her car."I didn't think anything of it when I got the flat tire," she said. "Once I saw the pictures on Facebook when I got home, I was like, 'oh, my goodness.' "Luckily, the flat tires didn't cause any wrecks. A driver who ignored barricades on a Pawnee County Road was hospitalized after his vehicle was swallowed by a sinkhole, authorities say.Four county deputy units and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the wreck on County Road 5715 just outside the Arkansas River community of Blackburn before 11 p.m. on Wednesday. According to investigators, the man drove around multiple ODOT barricades. A fisherman reportedly witnessed it. The road has broken apart in pieces in recent days, with entire portions of it missing due to massive flooding.The vehicle had to be left in the sinkhole overnight because crews were unable to recover it. They are expected to remove it today.Mercy EMS transported the man, who has not yet been identified, to a Tulsa hospital so he could be treated for head trauma, officials say. According to locals, he had a dog with him, which was not injured.We’re told ODOT immediately was dispatched to place added barricades around the area, which deputies say clearly was blocked when the driver bypassed them.
