CLAY COUNTY, Tennessee — Three people were shot Monday morning at a residence in Clay County, Tennessee, where a school bus driver pulled up to the scene and provided aid.The incident was reported at a home on Crabtree Creek Road and North Fork Road in Whitleyville. A school bus driver called 9-1-1 after he or she pulled up to a stop and realized there had been an incident in the home. Initial reports indicated that the shooting happened on a school bus. However, Clay County School officials confirmed the incident did not happen on the bus. The bus driver gave aid to at least one person in the home.  At least two of the victims were airlifted to Nashville for treatment. Cristina Schaffer was behind the lens as a professional photographer for 17 years, but the images she captured after COVID-19 are unlike anything she took before."I took out my biggest lens, I was about 20 feet away she opened up her door and had words writing on her hand and she was such a bright light totally happy," Cristina described of a woman she photographed from behind a window who was battling stage 4 breast cancer.It's all part of her 'front porch portrait' collection."They come to front porch and I just direct them from there. CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) — An iconic Coronado bookstore says it is being forced out after 27 years at its home on Orange Avenue. Bay Books employees say landlord Kleege Enterprises has found a new tenant for the site and that it has to be out by March."I'm obsessed with this bookstore," said manager Barbara Chambers. "I don't know what I'm going to do."Building owner Bruce Kleege says this is not the case. He said he believes negotiations with the bookstore are ongoing and that he would like to keep the bookstore, albeit smaller. Last year, Kleege's company bought almost the entire block of buildings on Orange Avenue, the bookstore included, for million. Already, two high-end restaurants and a poke restaurant are on the way, replacing previous tenants. Kleege says the bookstore is paying a fraction of market rent, a gap that needs to narrow, but not close.Meanwhile, bookstore owner Angelica Muller says some of the spaces offered are off the main street, half the space, and double the rent to about ,000 a month. CINCINNATI — Linda Zgoda has been volunteering at Hamilton County polling places for more than 20 years. She said it's important to her."I feel like to have honest elections, you have to have good officials," Zgoda said. "I feel like it's a civic responsibility for people to work at the polls."She pays close attention to details."It was initially when we had the signature poll book that I became aware that my neighbor was still on the rolls," she said. "Then after it had been on for so long, I became curious about it."The curious thing, in this case, was the fact that her neighbor had been dead for 14 years."I'm concerned that by someone being on the rolls, someone could improperly vote in their name," Zgoda said.She contacted the Hamilton County Board of Elections and was told a family member needed to turn in her neighbor's death certificate to have that person removed."Since this has been brought to our attention, we did more research, and we've been able to obtain some more identifying information, and that person has now been canceled," Hamilton County Board of Elections director Sherry Poland said.Poland said the state and county usually do a more thorough job of removing deceased voters from the rolls, but this time was different."We did receive a deceased Ohioans report at that time (in 2004), and (it) included his name but didn't include his address," Poland said. "The report did have a date of birth, but we didn't have a date of birth on file."Poland said her office has about 790 Hamilton County voters who don't have their date of birth or identification on file because those people registered at a time when they didn't have to give that information.When asked if there might be more deceased voters on the rolls that the state might have missed, Poland said that she thought it was highly unlikely because more identifying information is required from voters now.She said that no one tried to vote under the name of Linda Zgoda's deceased neighbor in the time that it had incorrectly been listed on the rolls.The Hamilton County Board of Elections is working to get more identifying information from all voters in the county, she added. 2198
