DENVER (AP) — Authorities have arrested a Colorado man they say held two roofing-company salesmen at gunpoint who had been knocking on doors in his neighborhood. Police told KUSA-TV that both salesmen were wearing blue polo shirts with a local roofing company logo when Scott Gudmundsen forced them to the ground Thursday. The 65-year-old Gudmundsen told police he thought they were members of a far-left-leaning group known as Antifa. Police determined the two workers were doing nothing wrong and arrested Gudmundsen. In a letter, Colorado State University university president Joyce McConnell, athletic director Joe Parker, and head football coach Steve Addazio addressed the situation."Our student is a young man of color, while the perpetrator is white," the letter read. "Regardless of what investigators learn or reasons the perpetrator gives, we know this: Our student got up Thursday morning, worked out with his team, then showered, dressed, and went to work. DANA POINT, Calif. (KGTV) -- A small plane made an emergency landing on a Southern California beach Saturday afternoon, according to the associated press. The Orange County Fire Authority says the Cessna airplane made the landing on Doheny State Beach in Dana Point. The pilot took off from John Wayne when the plane lost power. The pilot landed on an empty stretch of sand. No one was injured, according to fire officials. 432

DETROIT — Investigators raided Perry Funeral Home in Detroit late Friday afternoon and have removed nearly 63 infant remains, according to Detroit Police. Officers found 36 fetuses in cardboard boxes and 27 more in freezers. The conditions of the fetuses are unknown.The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) has revoked the funeral home's license and shut the facility down. 428

DENVER, Colorado — Tom Sullivan, whose son Alex died in a mass shooting inside a Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colorado in 2012, unseated Republican incumbent Cole Wist to win the state House seat for District 37.As of early Wednesday morning, Sullivan had 53 percent of the votes with 95 percent of results reported.Sullivan, a veteran, is a proponent of gun control.
