FedEx and Happy Returns are partnering up for a new venture: making returns easier.By the end of October, FedEx will accept certain returns without a box or label, the e-commerce return technology company announced in a press release on Tuesday.“We are thrilled to grow with FedEx Office to bring in-person returns to more online shoppers,” said David Sobie, Co-Founder, and CEO of Happy Returns, in the news release. “In a time of retail uncertainty due to the coronavirus, it is incredibly valuable to add an essential services provider like FedEx Office to our growing network.”To make a return, consumers will first need to receive a QR code from either the retailers' or Happy Returns' website, then bring the item(s) and QR code with you to any of the 2,000 FedEx locations across the nation to complete the return.Customers will also be able to make returns at the FedEx stations that'll be available in 343 Walmart stores across the U.S., USA Today reported.In most cases, Happy Returns initiates refunds and exchanges immediately, the company said. 1065

For the first time, accused Waffle House gunman Travis Reinking has broken his silence.Reinking has been accused of murdering four people and injuring four others in a mass shooting at the Antioch, Tennessee restaurant last month.  Four people – 29-year-old Taurean Sanderlin, of Goodlettsville; 20-year-old Joe Perez, of Nashville; 21-year-old DeEbony Groves, of Gallatin; and 23-year-old Akilah DaSilva, of Antioch – were killed. Reinking was arrested the next day after a massive manhunt, booked into the jail and then he decided he wanted to talk.  He's locked up and undergoing a mental evaluation. In an exclusive interview, Reinking breaks his silence about his case. He called reporter Nick Beres at Scripps station WTVF  from maximum security at the Davidson County Jail. Reinking said he wanted to talk about his case, his mental health and his lawyers.  "About what I'm thinking and what I, I'd like to say on my behalf and stuff like that," Reinking said. In the days after his arrest, Davidson County Sheriff Daron Hall talked about Reinking's behavior and compared him to another accused mass shooter in the jail. That would be Emanuel Samson, who's charged with killing one person last year at the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ, also in Antioch. "I would use the word a little bit more normal for this one compared to the Emanuel [Samson] case, as it relates to interaction. That's probably the word that's been used the most," Hall said at the time.  Since Reinking's arrest, many have wondered if he will try using the insanity defense. When asked about his mental fitness he said, "Yeah, no… I'm perfectly healthy."  As for the shooting at the Waffle House? He wasn't ready to talk about that. "I'd rather not in the setting I'm at right now," Reinking said. But he did talk about his pending criminal case. Reinking has two appointed lawyers, but he said he plans to handle his own legal defense. "That's the thing, I'm choosing to represent myself. I don't know how that works. I didn't like those attorneys," Reinking said. He will likely address that at his next court appearance on June 1. For generations, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the community has thrived on the return of the University of Nebraska’s legendary football team each fall.“Nebraska football, not just for Lincoln, but for Nebraska is a huge thing,” said Joey Rupp, who owns a store that sells all things Huskers.But if 2020 has proven anything, it’s that few things are promised.“When this first all started in March, we really saw a decline. We’ve seen a decline each month,” Rupp said.Rupp manages Best of Big Red, which is located in Lincoln’s Haymarket district, an area within walking distance of Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium filled with bars, shops, and restaurants.Rupp typically has a lot riding on college football season.A Nebraska home game can draw around 150,000 people to town.“Football season probably generates about 75 percent revenue for the year,” Rupp said.2020 has been different.Coronavirus cut the Nebraska Cornhuskers' home games from the typical seven to four. Crowd restrictions mean the team will play in a mostly empty stadium.Nebraska fans have sold out their 85,000-seat stadium for every home game since 1962.“We’re not a heavy tourist destination but relying on college football is our biggest tourist draw for the entire year,” explained Todd Ogden, the president and CEO of the Downtown Lincoln Association.A pandemic and postponed football season put a lot of pressure on Ogden.“A lot of our businesses completely rely on those seven Saturdays to survive,” Ogden said.He’s leading an effort called City of Red. The campaign pushes for Husker faithful to still support places that depend on football dollars. That includes bars and restaurants.Bar owner Matt Taylor says his bar has been playing old, classic Nebraska games on TV since real Cornhusker games won’t start until Oct. 24.“Normally, I think it’s the best place to watch a game including the stadium,” Taylor said of his bar Tavern on the Square.Taylor loves owning his bar, but love is a tough word for the bar business in 2020."I usually love my job, but this year has not been very fun,” Taylor said.He says while it's good there will be a football season, it's unclear what the financials will look like.“It definitely helps but it won’t be a normal game day. Former Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone told associates he was in contact with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in 2016, according to a new report by The Washington Post, which cites two sources.An unnamed source told the Post that Stone had a phone conversation with Assange in the spring of 2016. Ahead of any public knowledge about Democratic email leaks, Stone told the source he had learned WikiLeaks had obtained emails from the Democratic National Committee and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman, John Podesta.During the campaign, Stone said in interviews and speeches that he was in touch with WikiLeaks, and he posted tweets in October 2016 that seemingly predicted the Podesta leaks.
