RAMONA, Calif. (KGTV) - A suspect was taken into custody following a hit-and-run crash that injured a bicyclist in Ramona in early October. Chase Richard, 32, was arrested on the 16000 block of Swartz Canyon Road in Ramona Tuesday. According to California Highway Patrol, Richard is a Ramona resident. Earlier in the week, authorities said they found the vehicle that injured the cyclist. The bicyclist, Michelle Scott, was seriously injured the morning of Oct. 2. on State Route 67 near Dye Road. The vehicle involved was a black 2019 Ford Edge, according to the CHP. Witnesses provided information which led investigators to the possible location of the vehicle involved in the crash. Officers saw the vehicle with damage consistent with the hit-and-run collision. RELATED: Bicyclist airlifted after being hurt in hit-and-run crash in Ramona “The vehicle was observed parked and partially hidden in the garage of a private residence in the San Diego Country Estates,” Ofc. Jeff Christy said in a news release. Monday, CHP investigators served a warrant at the home and seized the vehicle as evidence. RAMONA (KGTV)- Myrtle the coyote is recovering at The Fund for the Animals Wildlife Center in Ramona, after the Rancho Bernardo neighborhood came together to help.Katie Ryan has been watching Myrtle the coyote for years, and sounded the alarm when she first saw the new mother ensnared in a pipe. Katie guessed Myrtle was trying to capture a small animal that hid in the pipe and she got stuck. It took five weeks of constant phone calls, prayers and sleepless nights looking after Myrtle before she could get a trapper to catch the elusive coyote."I can't even describe I was crying and laughing all at the same time," Ryan said, her smile wide. She enlisted neighbors to block off the area, after a failed attempt Monday night due to a man trying to approach Myrtle and scaring her off.Neighbors said they guarded the neighborhood for hours Tuesday evening, going home with no hope. Then, a few minutes later, Myrtle followed a trail of rotisserie chicken and was caught in a trap around 8:30p.m.The Fund for the Animals Wildlife Center picked up the coyote that night and sent this statement. 1118

PUEBLO, Colo. -- A Colorado man made a historic leap with his most recent skydive.Tommy Fergeson of Pueblo made his 1,000th jump Saturday, exactly eight years after an accident cost him his left arm.He's now made 343 jumps with two arms and 657 with one.After losing the limb, the "One-armed Skydiver" didn't lose his love for the pursuit and found ways to overcome his obstacles."It's something that when I first started I never dreamed I would hit 1,000 skydives you know? It's taken some years. I'm fixing to turn 58, actually next month I turn 58 but I still love it and I am going to continue to do it, and I'm gonna be with my family and I just love skydiving.
