On April 16, 2016, 94-year-old Margaret Wood went to her friend's home to get some belongings and got into an argument with Sutton, her friend's caretaker.Surveillance video of the altercation shows Sutton pushing Wood out of her friend's home, prosecutors said.Sutton fled the senior community but was arrested the next day and charged with attempted murder, which was modified to murder upon Wood's death. 725

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Between the hustle and bustle of serving hungry customers at Commune in Virginia Beach, you'll find small pops of beauty.That beauty took a new form on Friday when Dan Pew walked through the doors.He was visiting from Ohio with his fiance and said he wanted to spread love and positivity during his time in the Resort City.A few days before vacation, he was scrolling through the social media platform Tik Tok when he came across posts about the Venmo Challenge.It encourages people to give back to their community."You ask your social media followers - [it can be] your friends, your family, or businesses or anybody and you say 'hey if you want to donate through Venmo Challenge tag 'the awesome human being' or 'for the food service worker' and then you donate and then you surprise a food service worker with a tip," Pew said.Pew was inspired by the videos of people surprising waiters and waitresses, so he took the plea to his followers on social media.In a message he said, "We're going to Virginia Beach for vacation this week and we want to surprise a food service worker with a huge tip."After putting the challenge out there, the internet got to work. Pew racked up hundreds of dollars in his Venmo account in just a few days.Then on Friday, after being helped by Aubrey Seykerbuyk at Commune, Pew pulled out 0.Seykerbuyk recalled the moment that made her jaw drop to the ground, "He had like a wad of cash and started counting it out in front of me and I honestly didn't know like what was happening. I didn't know if it was like a social experiment to see if I would take it or not."It was no experiment. The young waitress was nearly brought to tears.She said the act of kindness couldn't have come at a better time. "My vision has been clouded by so much negativity just by everything going on recently and that little glimmer of kindness that I received yesterday was just enough to remind me that there is still good people, there are still good people in this world and we need more of them."Even better, the other servers got a piece of the pie.Chelsey Miller is the front house manager at Commune who was working when the surprise took place."We all tip share so it kinda went to all of us and they didn't even realize that was going to be the case either so it was really awesome," she said. Walgreens and CVS are rolling out new safety procedures while giving flu shots amid the coronavirus pandemic.According to Walgreens, they will conduct temperature checks and wear face masks, face shields, and protective gloves while administering the seasonal influenza vaccine.CVS says patients will be required to wear a mask and answer COVID-19 screening questions. Their pharmacists will also be wearing masks, gloves, and face shields when working with the patients.Walgreens says they have enhanced cleaning regimens, social distancing protocols, and there are plexiglass shields at registers.The pharmacies say patients will have to wear face masks and are encouraged to schedule an appointment and fill out the paperwork online ahead of time. 758

WARNER SPRINGS, Calif. (KGTV) -- A famous balloonist died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a balloon accident near Warner Springs over the weekend.According to his website, Julian Nott died after "multiple injuries from an extraordinary and unforeseeable accident." According to the site, Nott was flying an experimental balloon he invented that was designed to test high altitude technology.Nott was known as the founder of the modern ballooning movement. He broke 79 world ballooning records and 96 British records, including exceeding 55,000 feet in a hot air balloon.The accident happened Sunday around 12:40 p.m. in a remote area near Warner Springs a mile off Chihuahua Valley Road.According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the balloon experienced a hard landing.A witness said the capsule detached from the balloon and rolled several hundred feet down the hillside.The two victims in the balloon at the time of the landing reportedly suffered back injuries. Both victims had to be airlifted out of the area.At this time, the condition of the other victim is unknown. 1097
