SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Several new, delicious tenants are moving into Liberty Station's eclectic food hall.Liberty Public Market has welcomed the arrival of Bao Bar, Latin Chef, Landini's Pizzeria, Liberty Chik, The Pig's Gig, and BOPJO to its already long line of food hall stops. Bao Bar also packs a selection of milk teas from around Southeast Asia to Taiwanese black tea, green tea, smoothies and slushies with several add-ons.Latin Chef: The Pacific beach restaurant that serves up Peruvian and Brazilian-style dishes brings its eats to Liberty Station, with a traditional menu featuring dishes like Lomo Saltado and Ceviche de Pescado,?and sweets like alfajores.?Landini's Pizzeria: Similar to their Little Italy location, Landini's Pizzeria slices up New York style "pizza by the slice" from a variety of delicious thin-crust pie options, calzones, pastas, and salads.Liberty Chik: As the market's first Nashville hot chicken concept, Liberty Chik offers the spicy chicken recipe by the piece, in a sandwich, or with housemade waffle fries. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Starting this month, the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park will begin requiring ticket reservations for all guests.The two parks have avoided requiring ticket reservations since reopening as an outdoor attraction last June. SeaWorld San Diego and LEGOLAND California have reopened in more limited capacities and have required reserved tickets for guests.Starting Dec. 5, the two zoos will begin to require a reservation for guests. San Diego Zoo Global says the change will be in addition to health screenings and safety measures already implemented throughout the park."Due to COVID-19, in order to keep our community safe during this time and in anticipation of high demand, the San Diego Zoo will implement a reservation system required for entry," the zoo's website reads.Ticket reservations will be required for all visitors ages 3 and older. San Diego Zoo members will need to make a reservation to visit ahead of time as well. More information on how to reserve a ticket or time can be found online.Park capacity for visitors who don't have a reservation may be subject to daily attendance limits, the park says online.Due to pandemic-related restrictions, some park experiences, exhibits, and programs are currently closed. 1254

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — SeaWorld's Tidal Twister roller coaster was open for roughly two weeks before an "operational issue" forced the ride to close.Friday, the park reopened the attraction to the public after repairs and has "passed inspection by the required agency," according to the park.In a statement to 10News, SeaWorld confirmed the ride passed inspection, adding, "The safety of our guests and team members is our top priority, and we are pleased to have resolved the issue in a short period of time."RELATED: SeaWorld unveils Tidal Twister thrill ride at San Diego parkThe ride had been shut down on June 1 over the mechanical issue, according to Cal/OSHA. Tidal Twister features duel track cars traveling at 30 mph around an infinite loop. The ride also features a research support aquarium that highlights sustainable aquaculture and coral reef protection.The ride comes on the heels of the wildly successful Electric Eel , which opened in May 2018. SeaWorld's next attraction is the Mako dive coaster, slated for a 2020 opening. 1045

  

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police say they have arrested a 23-year-old man in a fatal shooting in the East Village this week.Tyler Cosby of San Diego was arrested on Thursday for the murder of a 37-year-old man shot to death outside a downtown parking garage on Tuesday, according to SDPD.The victim, a 37-year-old white male who has yet to be publicly identified by police, was found in the area of 14th and G streets shortly after 10 p.m. Officers responding to several reports of gunshots arrived to find the man lying on the sidewalk at `1400 G St., near a parking garage entrance.The victim had at least one gunshot wound, according to police. Officers and paramedics provided first aid, but he died at the scene.Police have not said if there is a motive or detailed the events leading up to the shooting.Anyone with information about the case is asked to call SDPD's Homicide Unit at 619-531-2293 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. 947

  

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Starting this year, San Diego State University will begin restricting freshmen living on campus from parking their cars on campus.The new policy will go into effect beginning this fall, the university said Thursday. Incoming freshmen students will not be allowed to park on campus for their first year of schooling.SDSU's website says the change reflects the college's stance that the, "on-campus living experience an integral and necessary part of the total education."RELATED: SDSU details plan to avoid flooding at Mission Valley campusIn a statement to 10News, SDSU said the policy follows similar parking restrictions enacted at other California universities, including University of California, San Diego, CSU Long Beach, and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Waivers are also available for freshmen, "who may have unique needs," and "documented hardships," SDSU said.
