Comedian Jay Leno is making his way back to television.Next fall, Leno will host the revival of the comedy show "You Bet Your Life," Fox Television Stations announced in a press release."We need a familiar face to make us laugh, and we are incredibly proud and excited to reinvent this renowned franchise with the enormously talented Jay," stated Jack Abernethy, CEO, FOX Television Stations in the press release.Comedy legend Groucho Marx was the host of the legendary show more than a half-century ago."I'm thrilled to be hosting the latest version of 'You Bet Your Life,' Leno said. Comedian and actor Chuck McCann has died of congestive heart failure at age 83.He died Sunday, April 8, his family said.McCann was known for voice work in "DuckTales" films, "The Garfield Show" and as the voice of Sonny the Cuckoo Bird in commercials for Cocoa Puffs cereal, to name a few of his many credits.His first major film was "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" in 1968.  He had several guest appearances on television shows in the years that followed, including "Bonanza" and "Little House on the Prairie."McCann and his wife, Elizabeth Fanning, have two daughters. 587

College students are stepping up to help working moms during the pandemic with a virtual tutoring service called Project Matriarchs.Two students on a gap year came up with the idea. After talking with parents about balancing work and remote learning for their kids, they found moms were shouldering most of the responsibilities. Some were resorting to dropping out of the workforce.“It was just this reoccurring conversation we'd have where people felt so overwhelmed and so alone and we were like OK we just, we need to do something, not only for these women who are experiencing this right now, but also for ourselves in our peer group who are going to be inheriting these norms very soon,” said Lola McAllister, co-founder of Project Matriarchs.Here's how it works. Cottonwood, Arizona police have arrested a 32-year-old woman in what they call, "One of the worst cases of neglect some of the officers involved have ever seen."Sarah Easterday-Shortridge faces several charges in connection with the crime. On the morning of March 10, the Verde Valley Regional SWAT team served a search warrant at a home.Officers were made aware of the residence after a person received medical treatment from being pistol-whipped by a man staying at the home the night before. Police say officers found Easterday-Shortridge's three children, all under the age of five, living in "deplorable conditions." The abandoned home reportedly had feces, trash, debris, broken glass, and rotting food throughout. Officers described the residence as a "flop-house" for drug users.The children were transported to a medical center where they received treatment and hygiene. Police say the kids were suffering from lice, open sores, scabies, bumps, and were covered in feces. The Department of Child Safety was called to the scene and the children were removed from Easterday-Shortridge’s custody, police said. She has been charged with several felonies including child abuse, endangerment, neglect or abuse of a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia.   1326
