It’s seeking to fill 33,000 open corporate and tech positions.During the online event, Amazon says it will mobilize 1,000 recruiters to provide 20,000 career coaching session to attendees.Attendees will be able to select their fields of interest: hourly roles; tech and non-tech positions at the company’s headquarters, corporate offices, and Tech Hubs; jobs for veterans; and opportunities for students and recent graduates.The “career day” will also include three hours of main stage programming that will feature fireside chats, panel discussions, and interviews with leading career-advice experts and Amazon executives. Life coach and “Queer Eye” star Karamo Brown and former pro-football player and NASA astronaut Leland Melvin will headline the event.The main programming will last from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET. SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. – A section of the Three Mile Bridge in Pensacola is missing after Hurricane Sally battered the Gulf Coast Wednesday morning.The structure, also known as the Pensacola Bay Bridge, runs between Pensacola and Gulf Breeze, Florida.WEAR reports that state Sen. Doug Broxson will hold a call Wednesday night with Santa Rosa County Emergency Management about the damage.A request will be made for the Florida Department of Transportation to be included in the call, Broxson says.Broxson also stated they are also looking to request from FEMA to reimburse the cost of the damage, according to WEAR.Please be advised Pensacola three mile bridge is closed. SAN YSIDRO, Calif. (KGTV) — Several migrants were saved from a flooded San Ysidro storm drain in two separate rescues.The first rescue took place just before 11 p.m. Thursday. Border Patrol agents say they found three people trying to illegally enter the U.S. near a drainage tube about two miles west of the San Ysidro Port of Entry. The three people told agents that others were still inside the drain as heavy rainfall began to flood the tube.With the help of San Diego Fire-Rescue, one woman was quickly pulled to safety from the drainage tube before crews saved 13 more people through a manhole leading into the drain.RELATED: Teen found hiding in car dashboard at Calexico West Port of EntrySeven of those 17 people were taken to a nearby hospital.Then at about 1:15 a.m. Friday, border agents reported more migrants were possibly trapped in the same drain. SDFD crews and lifeguards returned and pulled one woman from the drain. Border Patrol agents also found two people near the exit of the tube. All were being processed Friday for illegally entering the country.Just before 3 a.m., Border Patrol agents say they located an unknown, deceased person in the water line on a beach near the west end of the Tijuana River mouth. It wasn't known, though, if the person was related to the earlier smuggling attempts, according to Customs and Border Protection.“The lifesaving efforts of these agents, who bravely risk their own lives to save others, makes me proud.” said Chief Patrol Agent Douglas Harrison. “Inclement weather conditions and perilous drainage pipe water flows, significantly increase the odds of a grim outcome.” 1862

(KGTV) - Traffic at the San Ysidro Port of Entry was left at a standstill for more than an hour following a reported security incident Saturday.Multiple lanes through the port were closed following the find, 10News viewer video showed. Witnesses at the scene told 10News border security officials were reportedly looking into a suspicious object left on the Mexican side of the border crossing.One witness told 10News they had been waiting at least an hour for traffic to open up as of 1:10 p.m.10NEWS TRAFFIC CONDITIONS10News has reached out to Border Patrol officials for more information.
