SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — More than 400,000 people in San Diego County have already cast their ballot for the November election."We are unprecedented, unchartered, in so many different ways in historic numbers of mail-in ballots that are coming back to our office," said Michael Vu with the San Diego Registrar of Voters. Saturday, Vu said the registrar had received 432,000 ballots have been cast. According to Sharp Grossmont Hospital, the flowers were cut fresh from the hospital’s gardens and delivered to the 24 women who became mothers Sunday. The program, called “This Bud’s for You” is now in its 11th year. According to the hospital, the program was initiated by landscapers to cheer patients up. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person was found shot inside their vehicle in the Encanto area on Wednesday, according to police.The shooting occurred in the 6200 block of Varney Drive, near Leaf Terrace and Vado Way, just after 7:30 p.m., according to San Diego Police. Officers arrived to find a man in a vehicle who had been shot at least once.The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The man has been identified, though police only described him as a 44-year-old Black male.SDPD says it appeared the victim was in the area with an acquaintance when another vehicle pulled up near the victim and fired several rounds. The suspect then fled the area.Police described the suspect as an unknown race male, wearing all dark clothing. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police were involved in a chase that led to a standoff in Valencia Park Wednesday night.Video from Sky10 showed police chasing the suspect through residential streets. The chase began after police spotted the woman, who is wanted for burglaries and identity thefts throughout San Diego County, driving on the 805.The woman refused to stop and led both Harbor Police and San Diego Police on a slow-speed chase. Police then used spike strips that appeared to flatten one of the vehicle’s tires.The driver stopped a short distance after the spikes were used. Police could then be seen taking a police K9 out of one of the vehicles.The woman refused to get out of her car after police threatened to send in the K9 unit. The suspect sat in her car until officers approached the vehicle, broke the drivers side window, and pulled her out of the car.In video captured from the scene, the woman could then be seen being taken into custody.Live video captured by Sky10 shows the whole incident. Watch the video in the player below:  1066
