There's still time for businesses to lobby the government to remove certain items, and additional products can still be tacked on.But the current list would almost certainly lead to higher price tags on consumer electronics and various home appliances — including flat-screen TVs and home dishwashers."There's potential this a major hit to the pocketbooks of Americans, based on what we're seeing right now," said Jack Cutts, senior director of business research at the Consumer Technology Association.The USTR is also weighing tariffs on a number of key components in electronic devices, such as LED lights, copper wire, and capacitors and resistors. (KGTV) — Police are asking for the public's help to locate a missing man who suffers from Alzheimer's disease.Police say 87-year-old Romy Castro disappeared from his South Escondido home off Brotherton Rd. sometime between the evening of Dec. 19 and Dec. 20. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, tan jacket, black pants, and black moccasins. He also wears black eye glasses.Castro is described as having black and gray hair, brown eyes, stands about 5-foot 3-inches tall, and weighs 130 pounds.Anyone with information regarding Castro's wearabouts is asked to call Escondido Police at 760-839-4970. 714

TRUCKEE, California — A furry four-legged visitor has been caught on camera entering a law enforcement facility.The California Highway Patrol says a black bear wandered into their Donner Pass Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility on the night of November 17.It didn't appear the furry fella needed much help either. The bear easily stands on its hind legs to open the door and then reverts back to all fours as it enters to apparently inspect the facilities vending machines.Donner Pass shared the video of the 'breaking and entering' on their Facebook page.    586

UPLAND, Calif. (AP) — The pilot of a small plane that crashed into a Southern California house and burned Thursday has died, authorities said.A father and child inside the home escaped without injuries after the late morning crash.The single-engine Cirrus SR22 went down in Upland, east of Los Angeles. Authorities believe the pilot, who was not immediately identified, was the only person aboard.Upland police Capt. Marcelo Blanco said the cause of the crash was not immediately known.TV news helicopters showed a large portion of the house gutted and smoldering. A parachute was draped over trees.Cirrus aircraft are equipped with parachutes that pilots can deploy in an emergency.The home is near Cable Airport, about 35 miles (55 kilometers) east of Los Angeles. 774
