QUITO, Ecuador (AP) — Julio Mora slipped away from his parents to secretly marry Waldramina Quinteros one February day. Both families disapproved. But seventy-nine years later, they’re still together — he at 110 years of age, and she at 104. Both are lucid and in good health, though relatives say they’re a little depressed because they miss their big family get-togethers due to the pandemic. And they can gather quite a crowd: four surviving children, 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.There are longer marriages, but at the moment none between people so old — just short of a combined 215 years. It's a mark now certified by Guinness World Records. The couple received a certification earlier this month. Residents in states hit by Hurricane Laura continue the long recovery to restoring their homes and businesses destroyed in the Category 4 storm.The death toll from Hurricane Laura has risen to 19 people across Louisiana and Texas.Power and water outages were widely reported in the hardest-hit areas, and it is expected to take weeks before the outages are restored.One of the places hit by the storm was Orange, Texas. Strong winds destroyed buildings, downed power lines and uprooted trees.Resident Robert Matthews is an employee at Mowers, Tractors Inc. in Orange. Raising the age of cigarette purchasing from 18 to 21 could have massive impacts on youth smoking. "This would be the number one thing I would do in New York state," Roswell Park Health Behavior Chair Dr. Andrew Hyland said. According to Hyland, if the age were to go up three years, the number of young smokers would decrease. "If you raise the age from 18 to 21 we're going to see 25% fewer kids becoming cigarette smokers" Hyland said. There would be less smokers due to the fact that 18 year old brains are still in development. Hyland says it would be unlikely for someone to just start smoking at 21 as opposed to 18 or 19. < 667

REDMOND, Wash. (AP) — Microsoft is buying the company behind popular video games The Elder Scrolls, Doom and Fallout. The software giant said Monday that it is paying .5 billion for ZeniMax Media, the parent company of video game publisher Bethesda Softworks. Microsoft said it is buying Bethesda in part to beef up its Xbox Game Pass game subscription service, which it says has over 15 million subscribers. Bethesda games, such as Starfield, which is currently in development, will launch on Xbox Game Pass the same day they launch on Xbox or computers.
