The hunter becomes the hunted!In April, a nature photographer along Florida's Gulf Coast captured some incredible images of an osprey with a fresh kill, flying hundreds of feet in the air.The man who took the stunning pictures, Doc Jon, said he knew he took some great shots. But when he looked at them on his computer, they got even better.He noticed that the prey, which he thought was a fish, was in fact a small shark.Then, he saw the shark also had prey clenched in its jaws -- a small fish!It was a lucky, double payday for the osprey.  I guess you could say: a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush or a fish in the talons is worth two in the nest.The photos have been shared thousands of times since being posted.Courtesy CNN Newsource 795

The moderators for the 2020 presidential and vice presidential debates have been announced.The Commission on Presidential Debates announced the moderators Wednesday morning for the events this fall.Chris Wallace, a host on Fox News, will moderate the first debate between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden on September 29. It will be held at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. This debate was originally scheduled to take place at the University of Notre Dame, however they withdrew citing coronavirus pandemic concerns.Vice President Mike Pence will debate Senator Kamala Harris, the democratic vice presidential candidate, on October 7 in a debate moderated by Susan Page, the Washington Bureau Chief at USA Today. The one and only vice presidential debate will be held at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.Trump and Biden will face-off again on October 15, moderated by Steve Scully who is a political editor at C-SPAN, and on October 22 moderated by Kristen Welker, White House correspondent for NBC News.The October 15 event will be held in Miami, after the University of Michigan withdrew citing coronavirus pandemic concerns. This debate format will be more like a “town meeting,” according to the commission and agreed to by both parties. Questions will be asked of both candidates by citizens in South Florida.The last scheduled presidential debate is planned for Belmont University in Nashville.At this time, all four debates are scheduled for 90 minutes. With the exception of the October 15 debate, the other events will be formatted to have the moderator asking questions and allowing the candidates 2 minutes to respond.The segments and topics will be determined by the moderator and announced closer to the event date. 1796

The holiday shopping season got off to a hot start on Friday as consumers flooded into stores and logged onto e-commerce sites in search of deals.Real-time figures from Mastercard show that overall sales are poised to hit billion on Black Friday alone. That's up about 9% from the day after Thanksgiving last year.Mastercard projects that overall holiday sales from November 1 through Christmas Eve should grow by 5% this year."We've gotten off to a very good start," said Steve Sadove, Mastercard senior advisor. "Both online and in-store sales are both tracking very well."More and more Black Friday shoppers are turning online to score discounts and deals.Adobe, which tracks online sales, reported that online purchases were up nearly 28% in the early hours of Friday morning.Very cold weather in the Northeast might be helping online sales growth on Friday, Mastercard's Sadove said.Electronics are a hot sellers. Adobe reported that the Nintendo Switch is the most popular item online, and Sadove said the new line of digital assistants and smart home products are attracting buyers.The strong holiday sales are being fueled in part by a healthy economy, which features low unemployment and some gains in average income. The National Rifle Association's executive vice president and CEO Wayne LaPierre slammed Democrats for their reaction to the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, and warned of government overreach extending far beyond the limiting of fire arms."What they want is more restrictions on the law-abiding," LaPierre said on stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference outside Washington. The jury in the trial of former Donald Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort did not reach a verdict after its first full day of deliberations.Just before 5 p.m. ET, jurors sent a note to Judge T.S. Ellis with four questions, including one asking him if he could "redefine" for them the meaning of "reasonable doubt," the legal threshold for acquitting a defendant. Ellis responded that the prosecutors had to prove their case not "beyond possible doubt," but beyond "doubt based on reason."Jurors also asked questions related to Manafort's tax filing and foreign bank account disclosure charges, including when a person is required to file a foreign banking disclosure, and the definition of "shelf" companies. Ellis instructed them to rely on their "collective recollection" and gave no additional explanation.Jurors began deliberations Thursday morning. Manafort is facing 18 counts of tax evasion, bank fraud and hiding foreign bank accounts brought by special counsel Robert Mueller as part of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.The jury will return at 9:30 a.m. ET Friday.For the first time, the jurors are seeing pictures of the ,000 ostrich jacket, ,000 python jacket, and other high-end clothes Manafort purchased using foreign wire transfers.
