AGOURA, Calif. (KGTV) - The movie set ranch featured in the HBO television series “Westworld” and almost 500 other productions was destroyed in the Woolsey Fire, Santa Monica Mountains park rangers tweeted Friday.The piece of Hollywood history, known as “Western Town” at Paramount Ranch, was located in Agoura. With its rolling hills and canyons, it was used to create an Old West look for film and television shoots.Paramount Studios bought the 2,700 acre ranch in the golden era of Hollywood. According to the National Park Service, the permanent Western Town was built in the 1950s and posed as Tombstone, Arizona, and Dodge City, Kansas.In addition to “Westworld”, the set also served as the home of “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” and episodes of Gunsmoke. Aeroméxico airline confirmed on Tuesday that a flight has crashed near Durango, Mexico, and the airline was evaluating the damage.The incident took place near General Guadalupe Victoria International Airport in Durango, Gov. José Rosas Aispuro Torres wrote on Twitter. Torres added that emergency officials were responding to the scene. Aispuro confirmed that there were no reported fatalities stemming from Tuesday's incident.A spokesperson for the airline told ABC News that some survivors were being taken to area hospitals, while some were able to walk away from the crash. Video from the incident showed rainy conditions, and some smoke billowing near the airport. The airline said that 100 people were on board the Embraer 190 plane that was taking off from Durango en route to Mexico City.  840

After being sworn into office Wednesday, Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona talked with Scripps' National Political Editor, Joe St. George, in Washington. Kelly was elected in November but sworn in early because he is technically filling the seat of the late Senator John McCain. Kelly ran on changing Washington. "You think you can change this place?" St. George asked Kelly. "It can be changed. Often change takes time, but change can be a good thing for our country," Kelly said. Regarding COVID-19, Kelly said he spoke with Senator Joe Manchin, D-WV, regarding a bipartisan proposal to provide more economic relief to Americans. A man in Florida called police while Collier County Sheriff's deputies were chasing him Tuesday morning.The sheriff's office report said it all started because the suspect acted suspiciously. The sheriff's deputy went up to the car and smelled a smell similar to marijuana.The deputy spotted a baggie that contained a green leafy substance. The suspect then grabbed the bag, put it in his mouth, and sped away."I need help, please," said Aric Frydberg, the man who was arrested after the 7-mile pursuit on U.S. 41. "There's a police officer chasing me," he added.Fort Myers-based WFTX obtained the 911 call. The operator tried numerous times to get Frydberg to pull over.But during the phone call, Frydberg tried to get the operator to make some calls on his behalf. The first set of calls was to his parents."Call my mom, call my mom," said Frydberg. "Please call my mom," he added while on the phone.Then he took it a step further and wanted to speak to the president.  "Donald Trump is a close friend of mine," said Frydberg. "We made a deal," he added while he was trying to convince the operator.Frydberg then changed gears and tried a different strategy.  "My mom called me and said she was in a car accident in Homestead," he said. "My flesh and blood was in a car accident and I have to stop and help you," Frydberg added.Deputies eventually got him off the road and phone.The report goes on to say the deputies searched the car and found glass pipes with burnt leafy residue on them. They later field tested the particles and it tested positive for marijuana.Frydberg is being charged with tampering with evidence, resisting an officer, and two counts of battery of an officer. 1744
