BBC radio broadcaster Danny Baker has been fired after posting a racist tweet about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's new baby.On Wednesday, the BBC Radio 5 Live presenter tweeted a black and white photo of a man and woman holding hands with a chimpanzee in a suit and a top hat, with the caption, "Royal baby leaves hospital."Amid widespread accusations of racism, Baker deleted the tweet and said he was sorry the "gag" had "whipped some up." BALTIMORE — After three months of investigating, Baltimore Police revealed a startling update on the murder of Jacquelyn Smith, which had family members asking the question, "why?"Sunday afternoon, acting Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison announced the crime was staged and that Jacquelyn Smith's husband, Keith Smith, 52, and his 28-year-old daughter Valeria Shavon Smith had been charged with her murder.Harrison said police in Texas arrested the two Sunday morning near the U.S.-Mexico border after word got around they were trying to leave the country. "During the course of our investigation, we developed evidence that Mr. Smith was leaving Maryland," Harrison said Sunday. "So we made the appropriate national notifications and the Texas State Police arrested him this morning." Baltimore police released photos of both suspects. Within the last month, business at the market has been somewhat of a roller coaster ride since the new coronavirus first surfaced. "With people panicking across the country, we've heard stories in New York saying there's no more rice and Atlanta there's no more rice, so people have been continuing to stock up on that," said Betty Lam, one of the two daughters of the owner of the market. The outbreak began in China and quickly spread across Asia. Since then, a growing number of coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the U.S. and customers seem to be staying away from Asian American businesses as a precaution.According to The New York Times, business at shops that sell Asian products dropped by 70 percent in the first two weeks of February. The Chinese Merchants Association in San Francisco says foot traffic in their Chinatown district dropped by 50 percent."It's a little off and on right now,” said Lam. “We're not too sure how it's going to go." At a briefing by the White House's coronavirus task force, Sec. of State Mike Pompeo said that the U.S. and Mexico have agreed to end all non-essential travel between the border of the two countries.The agreement is similar to one with Canada that was announced earlier this week. Essential travel, including trade and commerce, will continue.The travel restrictions go into effect on Saturday.Pompeo also said that the CDC has ordered that all foreign nationals not be allowed into the U.S. without proper documentation.
