A proposed bill introduced by Missouri Rep. Andrew McDaniel would require all Missouri state residents to own an AR-15 rifle. House Bill 1108, or the McDaniel Militia Act, proposes that every resident of the state of Missouri "shall own at least one AR-15 rifle."A resident, the language in the proposed bill states, is someone who is "18 years of age or older and under 35 years of age" who is not prohibited by law from possessing a fire arm. "Any person who qualifies as a resident on August 28, 2019, and who does not own an AR-15 shall have one year to purchase an AR-15. Any resident qualifies as a resident after August 28, 2019, and does not own an AR-15 shall purchase an AR-15 no later than one year after qualifying as a resident," language in the bill states. A shooting at a bowling alley late Friday left three men dead and four people wounded in Southern California, and police are trying to find whoever fired the shots, authorities said.The gunshots at the Gable House Bowl in Torrance went off just before midnight. A fight -- first involving young ladies, then men -- happened shortly beforehand, sending people running, a witness said."Then ... maybe a minute and a half later, all of the sudden all we heard was, pop, pop, pop," the witness, Dana Scott, told RMG News. "Bowlers were diving under the benches. The people that were still bowling on the lanes were on the floors, underneath the seats.""People were looking for their parents, because this is a family league. You've got mothers, fathers, sons, daughters ... everybody's friends in that league," she said.No arrests were immediately reported after the shooting. A U.S. Navy sailor killed two U.S. Department of Defense civilian employees and wounded an additional civilian at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam near Honolulu, Hawaii, on Wednesday. According to Rear Admiral Robert Chadwick of the U.S. Navy, security forces responded to a reported shooting at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard around approximately 2:30 p.m. local time. The base confirmed that access gates were closed. Nearly 90 minutes after the incident, the gates to the base were reopened.Chadwick confirmed that the suspect shot three male civilians before shooting himself.The names of the victims will not be released until the next of kin have been notified.More than 19,000 active duty are stationed at the base. The base employs more than 11,000 Department of Defense civilian employees. A transgender woman whose April assault made national news was found dead on a Dallas, Texas, street Saturday morning, police said.Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 7200 block of Valley Glen Drive at around 6:40 a.m. Saturday, Dallas Police Major Vincent Weddington said."Upon arrival, officers found the complainant lying face down in the street -- deceased from homicidal violence," Weddington said during a news conference on Sunday.The woman was not carrying identification but the medical examiner positively identified her as Muhlaysia Booker on Sunday afternoon, he told reporters.In a separate April incident, Booker was assaulted by several males in the parking lot of a Dallas apartment complex, after what police said was a minor traffic accident.Victim attacked in separate assault in AprilOne man, Edward Thomas, was arrested and faces charges over the April 12 assault, but Weddington said Thomas had not been linked to Booker's death."There is nothing at this time to connect Mr. Edward Thomas and the offense that occurred yesterday," he said. Police are unaware of Thomas' current whereabouts.Police are still trying to identify others who participated in the April attack, which was captured on video, Weddington said. But there's one company helping NASA and the U.S. Air Force go where no satellite has gone before."Deep space" is well outside the Earth's atmosphere, lying beyond the Earth-moon solar system. It's also known as "interstellar space." Deep space is a mystery to a lot of scientists. NASA's Voyager spacecraft that was launched in 2011 reached the edge of our solar system.Many scientists are wanting to make their way past Jupiter to learn even more, but there are limitations in the space engine technology today. A company called Roccor, based in Longmont, Colorado, is doing their best to change that.“We are just getting in a contract with NASA to do solar sailing where we are going to leave earths orbital realm and go much farther away,” said Bruce Davis, who works for Roccor.Davis and his team are working on a project called the "solar cruiser."They created what’s called a "solar sail." It essentially gets attached to a spacecraft and acts as a propeller, ultimately upping its performance by pushing it farther into deep space.“We are capturing whatever is coming off the sun — that’s radiation, that’s photons — we call it a collective pressure," Davis said. "That’s what we are trying to grab to give ourselves propulsion.”When the sail opens up, it’s as big as an office building.
