SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Family members of military members on the USS Bonhomme Richard set up a lemonade stand over the weekend to raise money for the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society.Becca Kofonow and her three children set up shop on the Siver Strand Saturday morning. It's been a hard week. The Coronado Unified School District announced Thursday that the district will be on a minimum day Friday as heat reaches into the 90s. A minimum day means that all schools will begin at their regular times, but end the day at 12:30 p.m. Friday will mark the second day the district will let out early as heat scorches the region. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — First responders were called to a downtown San Diego intersection after a San Diego Sheriff's inmate transfer van and Tesla collided Wednesday.The crash was reported at Sixth Ave. and A St. just before 3 p.m. after the Tesla reportedly side-swiped the inmate van. There were 12 inmates on the van, plus to driver and a sheriff's deputy, according to San Diego Police.The inmates were evaluated by first responders on the van, but no one was transported to the hospital, police said. 509
