LOS ANGELES — Britney Spears is asking a court to curb her father's control over her life and career.In documents filed Tuesday, Spears asked that her father not return to the role of conservator of her person, which gave him power over her life decisions from 2008 until 2019, when he temporarily stepped aside.According to the BBC, Spears is requesting that her manager, Jodi Montgomery, to permanently remain in charge of her affairs when the conservatorship comes up for an extension on Aug. 22.The issue will be discussed at a Wednesday hearing.The documents give a rare public glimpse of the wishes of the 38-year-old pop superstar. A Grinch is tip-toeing around outside windows of unsuspecting children, to bring delight and a moment of joy this holiday season.In a neighborhood full of Christmas cheer, the Grinch was ready to strike with fear. He didn’t exactly attempt to hide as the children sat inside.Dressed from head-to-toe as the Grinch, Ethan Hecker, 14, banged on the window of a home and was met with laughter and joy, but little did they know, he was there to steal their Christmas cheer.“My goal is to scare the kiddos, let them have some fun,” Hecker said.Allison Hecker, Ethan’s mom, came across a post online of a girl dressed up as the Grinch scaring kids and moving things around in the yard. Ethan says as soon as he saw it, he knew he wanted to do it himself and begged his mom for the costume.“Ethan loves the theatrics and kids and it was perfect,” she said.Hecker ordered the costume and it arrived on Monday. The Grammy winner announced his new Bank Account At Home nationwide initiative on Wednesday. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Two young sisters missing from their Northern California home since Friday afternoon were found alive Sunday following a massive search that included helicopters and tracking dogs.Leia Carrico, 8, and Caroline Carrico, 5, were found "safe and sound" on Sunday morning by a fire captain and firefighter who had followed the girls' boot tracks, Humboldt County Sheriff William Honsal said."This is an absolute miracle," he said.Though the girls were dehydrated and cold, they were uninjured and "in good spirits," Honsal said.He said the girls were trained in outdoor survival through their local 4-H club and that authorities believed that helped them. They also were wearing boots and had eaten granola bars at some point while they were missing, he said."To have a positive outcome like this is just absolutely amazing," Honsal said.Using helicopters and tracking dogs, dozens of police and rescue personnel combed a vast and rugged rural area in the frantic search for the sisters.The girls had last been seen around 2:30 p.m. Friday outside their home in Benbow, a small community about 200 miles (320 kilometers) northwest of Sacramento.The searchers included National Guard members from Fresno and the U.S. Coast Guard, which provided one of its helicopters on top of a Black Hawk helicopter also being used.Rescuers were hopeful about finding the girls Saturday after they came across prints from the girls' rubber boots and wrappers from the granola bars, Lt.
