(KGTV) -- A man was arrested over the weekend after a sideshow on the San Francisco Bay Bridge created miles of traffic.In video posted on social media, three cars are seen doing donuts in the middle of the bridge around 10:45 a.m. Sunday.One of the drivers, Gabriel Mora, 21, crashed his white mustang convertible, giving California Highway Patrol to make the arrest.Hours later, several other cars were caught on video burning rubber in the parking lot of pier 30 just south of the bridge.Residents who live in the area say they often call police about the car shows, but say they usually happen late at night. SEATTLE, Wash. – Models show a “second wave” of coronavirus deaths beginning in the United States in September, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation said Thursday.The IHME has extended its COVID-19 forecasts through Oct. 1 and the institute says they show 169,890 deaths in the US by October 1, with a possible range between 133,201 and 290,222.IHME says deaths nationwide are predicted to remain fairly level through August and begin to rise again at the end of the month, with a more pronounced increase during September. (AP) — Orange County’s new interim health officer says he will lift a requirement that residents wear face coverings in public and instead recommend they do so to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus. The change comes three days after the previous health officer abruptly resigned following threats she received over her order requiring masks as the county allowed more businesses to reopen. Residents have railed against the requirement at public meetings. Los Angeles and San Diego counties have similar requirements. SEATTLE (AP) — Cookware and kitchen chain Sur La Table is closing 56 of its 121 stores as it seeks bankruptcy protection, the latest retail casualty of the coronavirus pandemic. The privately-held Seattle-based company says it has agreed to sell its remaining stores to affiliates of Fortress Investment Group following the bankruptcy procedure and store closures. “This sale process will result in a revitalized Sur La Table, positioned to thrive in a post-COVID-19 retail environment," CEO Jason Goldberger said in the press release. "Sur La Table will have a balance sheet and retail footprint optimized to position the Company for a bright future that continues our nearly 50-year tradition of offering high-quality cooking products and experiences to our customers.”The post-sale company will also include its in-person and online cooking classes and its e-commerce business.
