(KGTV) - A Pennsylvania groom is accused of sexually assaulting one of his wife’s bridesmaids days before his wedding, which occurred as scheduled. Daniel Carney, 28, is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of an unconscious person and indecent assault at the Smithfield resort Aug. 30. Police said the assault reportedly happened after Carney and the bridesmaid were drinking alcohol. The bridesmaid told officers she blacked out, and when she regained consciousness her clothes were removed and Carney was fondling her. Surveillance video shows Carney pulling the woman into the men’s locker room, police said. According to police, the assault stopped when the bride caught him, but the wedding went on as planned Sept. 1. Court documents show investigators listened in on a call between Carney and his accuser, KABC reported. (KGTV) — California Highway Patrol is advising motorists to be prepared for a possible shut down of the Grapevine stretch of Interstate 5 this week.With a major winter storm expected to sweep through Southern California over the Thanksgiving holiday, CHP sent out a warning Tuesday for motorists to stay alert if using I-5 between Santa Clarita and Mettler, Calif."We are expecting snow on the Grapevine starting this Wednesday," CHP wrote. "We always hope to keep it open, however safety is our top priority. If the conditions become unsafe, we will hold traffic until Caltrans HQ makes the roadway safe. Expect a high volume of traffic this holiday week. (KGTV) — A high-speed pursuit in the Los Angeles area turned into a manhunt after a group of men abandoned their car and fled together on foot.Police were in pursuit of possible armed robbery suspects on the westbound 134 Freeway Friday shortly after 4 p.m., according to ABC-affiliate KABC. The vehicle hit speeds of more than 100 mph before heading onto surface streets in North Hollywood.The vehicle then led police onto the southbound 170 Freeway and the southbound 101 Freeway in Universal City, before five men exited the vehicle and fled into a residential area on foot, KABC reports.Police combed and locked down the neighborhood for nearly three hours, eventually arresting four of the five suspects around 8:30 p.m. K9 officers were used to track the men down, two of them were bit severely enough to be sent to the hospital, KABC reported.
