BALTIMORE, Md. – Sunday’s NFL game between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers has been postponed again due to a coronavirus outbreak.The NFL confirmed Friday afternoon that the Week 12 game has been moved to Tuesday, Dec. 1 and it will begin at 8 p.m. EST on NBC. This is the second time the game has been postponed. They were supposed to play Thursday night, but the game was moved to Sunday after an initial wave of players tested positive for the virus. Brunch can be a big draw for many restaurants, including at Sam’s No. 3 Diner in Denver, where the wait time to be seated on weekends could take up to two hours.“It gets crowded on that sidewalk out there,” said owner Sam Armatas.Pre-pandemic, Armatas says the iconic downtown diner had more than 180 seats. Now, with new health restrictions, that number has been cut to 83.“Business has been affected greatly,” Armatas said. “It’s a different world, it’s a different way to operate, and it’s a different way to serve.”Less seating means less opportunities to make money which led management at Sam’s to look outside their restaurant to serve more customers.“I kind of just looked over at my neighbor and thought, ‘hey, they’re not using that patio during the day. Maybe I can use that patio during the day,’” Armatas said. “So, I got in contact with Matt.”Matt Ruff is the general manager and part owner of Dazzle, one of the top 100 jazz clubs in the world.“It’s kind of foolish not to lend our neighbors a hand during this time,” Ruff said.Ruff is lending Dazzle’s outdoor patio space to Sam’s during the day for free, a move customers seem to appreciate while industry experts are calling it a financial Band-Aid.According to the National Restaurant Association, somewhere between 15,000 to 20,000 restaurants across the country closed their doors for good during this pandemic.Experts expect that number to increase nationwide as an estimated 8,000,000 American service industry workers are already out of jobs.“We’re monthly doing the revenue we would do on a good Saturday,” Ruff said. “How do you survive with doing something like that?”So far, this partnership with Dazzle and Sam’s sharing space seems to be working out well for both businesses.“It’s been awesome,” Armatas said. ”It’s an additional 12 to 15 seats that we didn’t have before.”The plan is to continue sharing this space until these establishments are able to operate at full capacity or the weather no longer allows for outdoor seating. 2020

One teacher needed a way for his students to see what he was writing while still allowing them to see him teach. So, he came up with an innovative solution with a couple of pieces of wood and some imagination.With a miter saw, drill press and belt sander at the ready, Bob Pinta converted his home’s garage into a bustling workshop.The high school math and computer science teacher is solving an online teaching problem one contraption at a time.“I would be teaching, I could use my pen and share the screen, but no matter how good of a stylus you get, writing on the iPad is not the same as write it on paper,” said Pinta.Pinta found that his students could either see what he was writing or him, but not both. So, he designed a phone stand that could act as a virtual overhead projector.“I would join the zoom on my phone pointing the phone down at the table and I would have the students pin my hand so that it was the big one,” he explained.He says the height adjustable stand allows for a much more interactive lesson.“So, they would be able to follow along as I went, and they could see both my face and the paper as I zoom.”His wife posted a video to see if other teachers might be interested in one. It quickly racked up tens of thousands of views with orders pouring in from all over.“We have shipped across the United States.”Each weekend, they sit in the driveway for teachers wishing to pick one up in person. At plus shipping, Pinta says he wanted to keep the contraption, which doesn’t have an official name, affordable.“We wanted it cheap enough. BOULDER, Colo. — A Boulder, Colorado man reached out to KMGH, furious about the work done by a contractor hired through the popular online service Thumbtack, and the thousands of dollars he claims he lost. The more he dug into the service, the angrier he became.               Keeping his windows clean is key for Larry Koenigsberg, considering he has amazing views from his home a hilltop community in Boulder."I can see a panoramic of the Flatirons, Pike's Peak when the sun rises in the morning," said Koenigsberg. "It’s like being on vacation every day between Colorado's 300 days of sunshine a year."Using popular online service Thumbtack, he hired Top Window Cleaning and paid the owner to clean several large windows, a skylight and a shower door. It wasn’t until the next day he realized they were damaged."The sun came shining in through all the south-facing windows, and I see all these scratches and I go outside and they're still dirty," said Koenigsberg.KMGH reached out to the owner of the window cleaning service. His attorney said no comment.Koenigsberg said that the owner of the company and the only employee came back to clean them again, hoping it was only dirt."So severe, it looked like a prism with all the blue and orange. Very deep the scratches," said Koenigsberg.After confronting the man, Koenigsberg said he only got another bill, not an apology. He went online to several sites to share his experience."I wanted a way of venting and letting other people know, and I put my review on there, but also I indicated that his intentions were good. I don't think that anybody sets out with intentions to scratch windows," said Koenigsberg.Koenigsberg said he learned Top Window Cleaning is not licensed in Colorado and the owner has a criminal history.
