SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diegans are feeling the effects of a winter storm moving through the county Thanksgiving weekend. The storm is expected to dump heavy rain along the coast and snow in the mountains.Heavy rain expected throughout San Diego CountyA flash flood watch was issued from late Tuesday night through Thursday evening. According to the National Weather Service, rainfall totals of two to three inches are possible, especially on coastal mountain slopes. Some areas could also see rainfall rates of half an inch per hour. "The threat for flash flooding is greatest in the mountains below 5,500 feet through Wednesday, below 4,500 to 5,000 feet for Wednesday night through Thursday, and on the lowest elevations of the mountains for Thursday evening," the agency said. Snow expected to impact travelA winter storm warning is in effect for the San Diego County mountains from 4 a.m. Wednesday through 10 p.m. Friday. The National Weather Service says snowfall accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected between 4,000 and 4,500 feet, 6 to 18 inches from 4,500 to 5,500 feet, and from 1 to 3 feet above 5,500 feet. Snowfall for lower elevations below 4,000 feet of 1 to 3 inches is also expected, mostly for late Thursday through Friday.Strong southwest winds of 50 to 70 miles per hour are also expected along ridges and desert slopes. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diegans welcomed spring Tuesday as a storm raced towards Southern California. It's expected to be a pleasant and warm day with a mix of sun and clouds for San Diego County, but this is merely the calm before the storm. The latest predictions from the National Weather Service show that the storm could dump anywhere between a quarter of an inch to as much as three inches of rain in parts of the county. RELATED: Mandatory evacuations issued for Santa Barbara County ahead of winter stormAs far as timing, the first storm of the spring should fall over San Diego Thursday afternoon into the overnight hours. The public can get free sand and bags, or free bags, at locations around San Diego County. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police are searching for a man who reportedly tried to stop a woman from leaving a locker room at a clinical training facility.According to police, the man entered the women’s locker room at the UCSD Clinical Training Facility around 11:15 a.m. on August 20.Police say the man walked in as the victim was using the restroom. The woman tried to leave, but the suspect blocked her, asking “don’t you want this,” gesturing to his body, police say.The man then left the bathroom before walking back inside and blocking the victim’s exit once again. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police are searching for an 18-year-old at-risk woman who disappeared from her Barrio Logan home on Sunday.Police say Kaedyn Carmon was last seen leaving her home at about 5:50 p.m. She left on foot in an unknown direction after an argument.Carmon is diagnosed with Autism with the mental capacity of a 9- to 11-year-old, police added.She's described as a black/white female with black hair and brown eyes, and about 5-feet, 3-inches tall and 260 pounds.
