RANCHO SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The boyfriend of a missing woman refused to take a polygraph test Monday - on the same day Arizona police arrested him for identity theft and forgery. Kiera Bergman was living in Phoenix when she went missing two weeks ago, but the 19-year-old grew up in San Diego. Monday night her father agreed to speak with 10News Anchor Ariel Wesler about the desperate search for Bergman. Bergman graduated from Valhalla High School in 2017. President Donald Trump's former lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen, was sentenced Wednesday to three years in prison after saying he took "full responsibility" for his actions while at the same time blaming the President.His sentence will be the longest thus far for anyone involved with the President or stemming from special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election."I take full responsibility for each act that I pled guilty to: The personal ones to me and those involving the President of the United States of America," Cohen said.But he also said he was living in a "personal and mental" prison since he started working for Trump."Recently the President tweeted a statement calling me weak and it was correct but for a much different reason than he was implying. It was because time and time again I felt it was my duty to cover up his dirty deeds," Cohen said."This may seem hard to believe, but today is one of the most meaningful days of my life," Cohen added later. "I have been living in a personal and mental incarceration ever since the day that I accepted the offer to work for a real estate mogul whose business acumen that I deeply admired."Inside the courtroom, Cohen's family was visibly emotional. Cohen did not speak to reporters upon leaving the courthouse.He previously pleaded guilty to eight criminal counts brought by federal prosecutors in New York, and received 36 months for those crimes. Cohen also pleaded guilty to one campaign finance-related count from Mueller's team, for which he was sentenced to two months.Cohen will serve the sentences concurrently.US District Judge William Pauley described the crimes that Cohen had pleaded guilty to as "a veritable smorgasbord of fraudulent conduct" before announcing his sentence.Pauley also ordered Cohen to pay .39 million in restitution, forfeit 0,000 and pay a ,000 fine. He said he talked with Dr. Anthony Fauci Thursday about his plans and asked the doctor to stay on in the new administration.Biden often wears a mask in public, and he and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris held "drive-in" campaign events to encourage social distancing. A scientific model released in October predicted 500,000 American deaths from coronavirus by March if there is no change to mask wearing and social distancing. The study found that if even 85 percent of Americans wore a mask routinely, almost 100,000 lives could be saved between now and March. However, those estimates may be out of date, as the coronavirus has spiked in the month of November, reaching to almost 14 million total positive cases and more than 275,000 deaths as of December 3, and shows no signs of slowing down in December, especially as health experts warn we have not seen a spike from Thanksgiving travel yet in coronavirus case numbers. The FDA is expected to grant emergency use authorization to Pfizer and Moderna's coronavirus vaccine in the next few weeks. However, masking and social distancing will still be needed since the vaccine will not be available to everyone right away. President Donald Trump tweeted a photo on Wednesday of rockets that were aimed at the US Embassy in Baghdad, and claimed that the rockets were fired by Iran.The attack came on Sunday, embassy officials confirmed.
