Hunters in the Florida Everglades continue to pull out some massive pythons in an attempt to eliminate the invasive species from the Sunshine State.The South Florida Water Management District on Wednesday posted a video that showed famed python hunter Dusty Crum with one of his recent catches -- a 16-foot, 11-inch whopper!The snake broke Crum's own record for the longest snake caught as part of SFWMD's Python Elimination Program.The district said Crum captured the python late last Thursday.Since the program began in late March, hunters have removed 638 invasive pythons from the Everglades. 624

(KGTV) — A suspected drunk driver nearly hit several beach-goers Sunday, before his SUV ended up in the ocean.The driver, identified as 50-year-old Jorge Mosti, was driving in the 1600 block of Seacoast Dr. just after 6:30 p.m., when witnesses say his SUV left the roadway and onto the beach, according to San Diego Sheriff's Department.As he continued onto the beach, SDSO said Mosti nearly hit several people as he drove about a mile down the beach. His vehicle ended came to a stop partially submerged on IB's coastline.Mosti reportedly then jumped out of the vehicle and started walking toward Tijuana. He made it about half a mile before deputies caught up to him. U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen’s ruling Monday concerned ballots cast at drive-thru polling centers that were established during the pandemic. The judge's decision to hear arguments on the brink of Election Day drew concern from voting rights activists, and came after the Texas Supreme Court rejected a nearly identical challenge over the weekend.The lawsuit was brought by conservative Texas activists who have railed against expanded voting access in Harris County. Hanen said the opponents to drive-thru centers — who were represented by former Harris County GOP Chairman Jared Woodfill— had no standing to bring a lawsuit.
