More than 190,000 ceiling fans sold at Home Depot in the U.S. and Canada are being recalled after receiving reports that blades were detaching from the fan while in use, which the company said could cause injuries.According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), 182,000 of the Hampton Bay 54-inch Mara Indoor/Outdoor fans were sold in the U.S. in stores and online from April through October 2020. Home Depot also sold 8,800 fans in Canada.The CPSC said 47 reports of the blades detaching have caused two people being struck and four accounts of the blades causing property damage. It was not reported if the people hit were injured.The CPSC said the recalled fans come in matte white, matte black, black, and polished nickel finishes. MOUNTAIN VIEW (CNS) - Police today are looking for answers in the case of a 49-year-old man, who was shot following an argument outside a Mountain View liquor store Saturday.The incident occurred in the 3600 block of Oceanview Boulevard at 11 p.m., according to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.After exiting the store, the victim had a verbal tussle with a group of men, police said.He was shot at multiple times while driving away and was hit in the right shoulder by a bullet.The victim made it to National City and the police were called. (KGTV) - The city of National City set a record in the 2019 Fiscal Year for the amount of grant money they received to pay for road upgrade projects.According to information provided to 10News, National City got around million for what they call "Active Transportation" projects."If we don't get these grants, we're basically just doing roadway maintenance for the next year," says City Engineer Steve Manganiello.The grants will pay for a long list of projects focused on improving bike lanes and pedestrian walkways throughout National City. This comes as cities all across San Diego work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by emphasizing alternative forms of transporation over driving."We need to give people that don't have acces to vehicles a safe network to bike, to walk and to use transit," says Manganiello.
