It's a tough time to get into the retail business, but figurine maker Funko thinks its toys are popular enough to make it work.The company that produces the popular toys with heads that bobble plans to open up a nearly 40,000-square-foot store in Los Angeles later this year."So many people are looking for an experience when they shop — not just buying things," Funko CEO Brian Mariotti told CNN Business in an exclusive interview. "This is retail times pop culture."Funko is known for its vinyl figures that are based on popular movie, TV and comic book characters. It also reproduces real life athletes. The company has licenses with most big studios, including Disney for its Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars characters, Warner Bros. for the DC Comics and Harry Potter franchises as well as Pokémon. The video has been viewed more than 231,000 times (at the time of this writing) on Facebook and has been shared almost 6,000 times. It has also received hundreds of comments.It all started around 1:35 p.m. Dec. 11 near Sam's Town hotel-casino."I see this helicopter flying around, like right above us and so I'm like they must be doing something wrong. And right when I thought about that 18 cop cars came barreling down this road right next to the arena," said Cayden Cox, a cowboy and professional cattle roper.Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department spotted a car that was reportedly stolen and tried to stop it. The people in the car — three in total — attempted to escape, but hit a horse trailer near Horseman's Park."I'm like, 'oh shoot we need to go catch the son of a buck.' So I come running down through there and I almost knocked over this older gentleman and I felt bad but I got to them and right when I got to him but they all followed me we're like 60 guys behind us," added Cox.One of the people in the stolen car jumped a fence at the park and began running across the fairgrounds. That's when the cowboys got involved. They yelled at man to stop and threatened to lasso him if he didn't."By the time I kind of had my rope up and [the suspect] had his hands up, right when I was thinking about roping him," said Cox.According to a man who saw what happened, the alleged car thief immediately dropped to his knees and a couple of the cowboys pinned him to the ground until the police officers arrived and took him into custody. KENSINGTON, N.H. – A father in New Hampshire killed a coyote with his bare hands after it attacked his young child on a trail Monday, according to the Kensington Police Department. Before that attack, police say they received a report of the coyote attacking a vehicle on Drinkwater Road in Hampton Falls at about 8:40 a.m. Shortly after, police say a 62-year-old woman on Hemlock Road reported that she and her dogs were attacked by a coyote.“The coyote was on her three-season porch and her two dogs had opened the sliding door and were attacked by the coyote,” wrote the department. “The two dogs retreated back into the house and the coyote attempted to get into the house. While the homeowner was fighting to keep the coyote out of the house, she was bitten.”The homeowner was treated at an area hospital and received the first series of rabies shots. She will return later in the week for a second set of shots. Her dogs were also treated. Then at about 11 a.m., police say that same coyote attacked a family walking on a trail in Exeter.
