SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Pounds of marijuana, concentrates and edibles, cash, and handguns were seized from a Pacific Beach pot dispensary Thursday.San Diego Police raided Truly Green, located at 4150 Mission Blvd., at about 8 a.m. for illegally operating the business.The seizure included 57 pounds of high-grade marijuana, more than 1400 marijuana concentrates and edibles, ,100 in cash, and two handguns.Two employees were arrested for possession of marijuana for sale and operating a business without a permit. They were released with a citation.Police said the owners were not present, but police said they will be charged. 637

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are searching for two men suspected in a downtown San Diego shooting spree that left five people injured Monday night.According to San Diego police, the gunfire was reported just after 11 p.m. at several locations in the East Village neighborhood, about three blocks east of Petco Park's tailgate parking lot.The shooting happened not long after the San Diego Padres wrapped up their game against the Washington Nationals at Petco Park.Police said four people were in the 500 block of 15th Street, near Island Avenue, when two men dressed in dark clothing approached the group and opened fire.Moments later, and several blocks from the initial shooting scene, a fifth person was shot in the 1800 block of Island Avenue.All five shooting victims suffered what were considered to be non-life threatening injuries, according to police.Police said the suspected shooters were described as black men between 19-25 years old and 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall. The men were last seen fleeing westbound from the area.A witness in the area told 10News that he heard about a dozen gunshots coming from different locations and two vehicles speeding from the scene. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Officials from Mexico and the United States held a joint meeting Friday to discuss binational relations, legislation, and urban mobility strategies. At the discussion, officials from both sides of the border discussed solutions to the Tijuana River contamination issue and the concept of a new port of entry. Board member Mario Lopez was joining the group from Tecate and he was very supportive of the new port of entry. He supports the initial plans to have an additional border crossing at Jacumba and Tecate. Lopez says that the wait time at San Ysidro is hurting the economic growth, “10 billion dollars lost because of border wait time” he tells 10News. About 20 years ago, SANDAG did a study and it showed the necessity of another port of entry. The Mayor of Imperial Beach, Serge Dedina tells 10News, “on of our biggest source of air pollution comes from the trucks and cars waiting to cross the border”. Right now, the Jacumba Port of Entry is a concept, “these projects take many years” Lopez tells 10News it will take another 10 years but in the meantime they’re hoping to get the funding to purchase the land within the next five years. Aside from economic and environmental impacts, supporters of the port of entry say it’ll also be beneficial for trade relations between California and Mexico. Another topic discussed at the binational meeting was the Tijuana River contamination issue. Mayor Dedina tells 10News the new president in Mexico is “looking at more public-private partnerships for public water reuse”. In fact, last year they passed a partnership with an Israeli company, Odis. It’s a filtration plant that will help lead a water reuse project south of the border. Dedina says, “the project could clean up 30 million gallons of sewage a day”. Compared to previous years, Dedina is more optimistic seeing steps being made to solve a major problem that continues to threaten our southern beaches. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - NASA's Mars-bound rocket launch from Southern California could leave San Diego gazers disappointed.Saturday's launch window could be blanketed behind a thick layer of morning fog, according to meteorologists. Vandenberg Air Force Base is forecasted to see partly cloudy skies through the morning hours.The fog, however, may not be enough to scrap the launch. InSight's launch director Tim Dunn said during a briefing Thursday that, "We got 'go's' from all aspects, all organizations that have a vested interest in launching InSight," Space.com reported. RELATED: Mars-bound NASA launch will be seen from San DiegoThe launch is currently scheduled for Vandenberg between 4:05 a.m. and 6:05 a.m. NASA has given a six-month time window to set InSight for Mars.Regardless of fog, officials have given the all-clear for NASA's first interplanetary launch on the west coast.But that shouldn't deter San Diegans from trying to catch a glimpse — even if just a blurry bright light in the distance.
