HARTLEY, Iowa – In these troubling times, small acts of kindness can go a long way. A group of children in Iowa are proving that. They not only made the day of an elderly woman, but now they’re bringing smiles to people all over the world. A video captured the moment the kids on a school bus wished the woman who waves at them every day a “happy birthday” as they passed her house on Friday. The woman, Bonnie Linder, celebrated her 93rd birthday over the weekend, according to her daughter, 505

Former Vice President Joe Biden is projected to win the Democratic primaries in Michigan, Missouri and Mississippi on Tuesday, after winning 10 out of 14 states on Super Tuesday. With Biden's win in Michigan, he earned a state that was won by Sen. Bernie Sanders in 2016. Winning Michigan was the biggest prize in Tuesday's six-state primary with 125 delegates up for grabs. Democrats award delegates proportionally, but Biden could rack up a large delegate haul between Michigan, Missouri and Mississippi. The races in Idaho, North Dakota and Washington have not been called.DELEGATE MATH:March 10 primaries:Biden: 131Sanders: 72Overall:Biden: 801Sanders: 646Needed to win: 1991Sanders entered Tuesday's set of primaries trailing Biden in national delegates. It appears the gap between Biden and Sanders will grow from Tuesday's votes. As votes were tabulated on Tuesday, former candidate Andrew Yang announced he is endorsing Biden."I believe Joe Biden will be the Democratic nominee....and I hereby endorse Joe Biden," Yang said. 1044
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday the House was proceeding with articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump."Today I am asking our chairman to proceed with articles of impeachment," Pelosi said on Capitol Hill. House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff is scrapping a Wednesday morning meeting intended to take an "enforcement action" against the Justice Department after it agreed to begin providing the committee with counterintelligence documents from special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. The decision to postpone the business meeting -- where Schiff was threatened to take an unspecified action against Attorney General William Barr for not complying with the committee's subpoena for Mueller's counterintelligence materials -- is a rare sign of the Trump administration and a House panel successfully negotiating around a Democratic subpoena for documents.Schiff had issued a subpoena for all of Mueller's counterintelligence materials, but he had proposed that the Justice Department begin the effort by providing 12 specific sets of counterintelligence materials that were referenced in the Mueller report. The Justice Department wrote in a letter to Schiff Tuesday that it was continuing to review the initial tranche of 12 categories of documents Schiff wanted and would make them available "in relatively short order," so long as he didn't move forward with an action holding Barr in contempt of Congress."The Department of Justice has accepted our offer of a first step towards compliance with our subpoena, and this week will begin turning over to the Committee twelve categories of counterintelligence and foreign intelligence materials as part of an initial rolling production. That initial production should be completed by the end of next week," Schiff said in a statement Wednesday morning."As a result of the Department's acceptance, the business meeting has been postponed," Schiff added. "The Committee's subpoena will remain in effect, and will be enforced should the Department fail to comply with the full document request. The Department has repeatedly acknowledged the Committee's legitimate oversight interest in these materials. I look forward to, and expect, continued compliance by the Department so we can do our vital oversight work." 2074
