SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A Facebook post has hundreds of thousands of interactions after a woman shared a photo of a young barista who refused to serve her because she wasn't wearing a mask.The woman's post was captioned, "Meet lenen from Starbucks who refused to serve me cause I’m not wearing a mask. Next time I will wait for cops and bring a medical exemption."Many people are supporting Lenin, with people commenting saying things like “there’s no reason to publicly shame a kid who’s trying to work his shift like any other day.” Another saying “they are following what they're told. I understand your frustration But it's being at aimed at the wrong people." Someone else said, “if you cannot wear a mask, why not go through the drive through?"RELATED: California requiring face coverings for most indoor areasIn San Diego County, everyone is required to wear a mask while in public, however, there is a clause that says if a person has a health condition that prevents them from covering their face, they do not have to wear a mask.A spokesperson for the county said there is no official rule to enforce that policy and people with health problems are not required to have proof. The spokesperson also said it’s up to businesses to enforce county rules and advised anyone with health problems to avoid public places.Many people also commented on the post saying they want to give Lenin the barista a tip, so one man stepped in to help. Florence Oliver has lived in San Diego her whole life."I was born at SD General at that time, but of course I don't remember it!" The family settled down in Carlsbad, and for Florence, family is everything. For the last century, her family hung on to another memory. A brass bell from the Carlsbad School which rung daily for class.In 1922, Florence's uncles stole stole the bell to pull off a prank on her mother's wedding night. "They hung it, in those days you had those wire springs on bed to hold mattresses, they hung it underneath, no one knew… so the bell really rang loud!"Rather than return the bell, it stayed in the family - first handed down to Florence's oldest brother, and then the next brother, and eventually to her."What does it mean to me, it's just a piece of our life, and it's gone through our family, it's like it's related."One day, Florence had a conversation with her niece. "She said Dad used to go in the garage and she told me that bell needs to go home, that would make him very proud."So last month, Florence made good on her promise. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A family from Chula Vista is desperately looking for their 9-year-old loved one. Erik Ochoa was swept away by the current in Rosarito on Easter Sunday. Ochoa lives in Tijuana with his father. His sisters, Zusel and Hilary live in Chula Vista. The boy was with two other children walking along the beach in Rosarito when they were swept away. One boy made it out of the current and ran to get an adult nearby. The third child washed ashore, lifeless, 25-minutes after going missing. Erik hasn't been seen since. The sisters have been looking for their brother since they heard about what happened. They've been going from Imperial Beach all the way down to Border Field State Park.The Mexican Navy is actively searching on the Mexican side. The U.S. Coast Guard broadcast a message to boaters telling them to be on the lookout. Erik was last seen wearing green shorts and a striped shirt. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A female driver struck a home in Point Loma Wednesday morning.The BMW went into the house at 3145 Nimitz Blvd. at Evergreen Street.The driver didn't see the turn and went through a guard rail, into the house, police said.A man and woman were sleeping inside.The man and the female driver suffered minor injuries.Police said the crash was not alcohol or drug-related. 393
