President Donald Trump announced Saturday morning that American prisoner Josh Holt has been released from prison in Venezuela."Good news about the release of the American hostage from Venezuela," Trump tweeted. "Should be landing in D.C. this evening and be in the White House, with his family, at about 7:00 P.M. The great people of Utah will be very happy!"Holt, 26, a Utah native, is a Mormon missionary who traveled to Venezuela in June 2016 to marry Venezuelan Thamara Cale?o, a fellow Mormon, according to news reports. He was arrested shortly afterward and accused by the Venezuelan government of stockpiling weapons and attempting to destabilize the government, according to The Washington Post. Holt was held for nearly two years without standing trial.Holt's release comes more than a week after he posted videos to Facebook during a prison riot, pleading for help from Americans and the US government. In one video he said, "I've been begging my government for two years. They say they're doing things, but I'm still here."Holt and his wife were freed overnight and released to the US Embassy in Caracas, according to Foro Penal, a human rights organization of lawyers and others who assist political prisoners in Venezuela. The couple were scheduled to head to the airport in Caracas around midday Saturday, a Foro Penal spokesman told CNN.There has not been any official confirmation or comment from President Nicolás Maduro's government.Trump tweeted a second time Saturday, saying, "Looking forward to seeing Joshua Holt this evening in the White House. (KGTV) -- Poway residents are expressing concern after Stoneridge Country Club closed without notice Wednesday morning.The club closed after voters defeated a measure Tuesday which would have rezoned the property to allow owner Michael Schlesinger to replace part of the club with 180 new condos.One member told 10News "I want the people of Poway to realize that it’s not just about losing golf. It’s about our home values and losing our history that we’ve had here for so long.”Her home sits directly adjacent to the course. She's concerned Schlesinger will stop maintaining the property, turning it into a major fire hazard.Several other residents also expressed worries about vagrants setting up camps on the vacant course and that overgrowth could lead to a spread of coyotes in the area.Those fears are stoked, the residents say, by what has happened at the Escondido Country Club, also owned by Schlesinger.The club has gone to waste in the four years since he made the decision to close it and Poway residents worry they're about to be victims of the same fate.Club members tell 10News there has been no communication from Stoneridge about the closure.Many members paid their 2018 dues in advance and fear Schlesinger will not refund their money.10News contacted a spokesperson for Schlesinger, who replied with a statement:"We are on day 2 of the process of closing a business that has been open for 60 years. Our employees were our first concern, and now we are just beginning to figure out details. POWAY, Calif. (KGTV) -- A rope is being blamed for December’s weeklong boil water advisory in Poway, according to a newly-released report.The report says a surge in storm water caused a backflow in the system. A rope stuck inside a gate designed to keep water out of the reservoir allowed the storm water to seep into the area. As a result of the incident, the affected section of the reservoir had to be disinfected and refilled. RELATED: Inspection found 12 flaws in Poway's water delivery systemA boil water was issued November 30 and canceled December 6 as a result of the contamination. The advisory was issued after residents reported brownish water coming from their faucets on November 29. The report also goes into detail about what is being done as a result of the advisory.
