President George W. Bush gave a tearful eulogy to his father, President George H.W. Bush, Wednesday at a state funeral for the 41st president of the United States.The younger Bush choked up as he quoted his father's inaugural address from 1989."In his inaugural address, the 41st President of the United States said this: 'We cannot hope to only leave our children a bigger car, a bigger bank account,'" Bush said. "'We must hope to give them a sense of what it means to be a loyal friend, a loving parent. A citizen who leaves who home, his neighborhood and his town a better place than when he found it. What do we want the men and women who work with us to say when we are no longer there? President Donald Trump says he hopes he can end birthright citizenship in the United States with an executive order, according to an interview with Axios.In a minute-long preview of Axios' upcoming HBO series, Trump tells Axios reporter Jonathan Swan that it's "ridiculous" that any child born in the United States is automatically granted citizenship."We're the only country in the world where a person comes in, has a baby and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States for 85 years with all of those benefits. It's ridiculous and it has to end," Trump said.Trump also stated that he believes the statute could be overturned by an act of Congress, though he's confident an executive order would be sufficient. Should he pass such an order, it would no doubt set up another high-profile fight in federal court.  837

PUEBLO, Colo. -- A Colorado man made a historic leap with his most recent skydive.Tommy Fergeson of Pueblo made his 1,000th jump Saturday, exactly eight years after an accident cost him his left arm.He's now made 343 jumps with two arms and 657 with one.After losing the limb, the "One-armed Skydiver" didn't lose his love for the pursuit and found ways to overcome his obstacles."It's something that when I first started I never dreamed I would hit 1,000 skydives you know? It's taken some years. I'm fixing to turn 58, actually next month I turn 58 but I still love it and I am going to continue to do it, and I'm gonna be with my family and I just love skydiving. Queensland, Australia is experiencing wild summer weather right now, which created a giant sea foam wall on the country’s east coast. The foam was so large, a dog became lost in it and several people had to jump in to find the animal.A weatherman for 7News in Australia was on the beach ready to do a live report on the wild weather, when a woman is seen on camera jumping into the foam shouting “Hazel!”Weatherman Paul Burt dropped his microphone and is seen walking over to the woman and joining the search for her pet, Hazel.The search was successful and Hazel was soon back in the arms of her owner.The eastern coast of Australia is being battered right now as a powerful storm moves through the area. Some areas of Queensland saw about 7 inches of rain on Sunday, and wind gusts around 60 mph. 806

President Donald Trump tweeted on Friday that he has signed an executive order calling for stiff punishment against those who damage statues and monuments.The order comes days after protesters attempted to topple a statue of President Andrew Jackson from Lafayette Park near the White House. Dozens of officers moved in to push the protesters back.In recent weeks, there have been calls from supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement to remove statues and monuments of those tied to slavery and the Confederacy. Those calls have been met with swift opposition from Trump and fellow Republican leaders.But the movement has found support from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Califfornia, who has asked for 11 statues in the Capitol of Confederate leaders being removed from the complex. “We are looking at long-term jail sentences for these vandals and these hoodlums and these anarchists and agitators,” Trump said earlier this week.Trump later added in an interview with Fox News, “We should learn from the history. And if you don’t understand your history, you will go back to it again."“I just had the privilege of signing a very strong Executive Order protecting American Monuments, Memorials, and Statues - and combatting recent Criminal Violence. Long prison terms for these lawless acts against our Great Country!” Trump tweeted late Friday.The executive order calls for federal laws to be used to arrest those who topple statues and monuments, but it's unclear how the order will be largely enforced across the country.
