A New Jersey man who won a 8 million Powerball jackpot in 2013 has been charged with sexually assaulting a child.According to NJ.com, Pedro Quezada of Wayne, was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.Prosecutors say Quezada assaulted the victim for three years when the child was between the ages of 11 and 14 when he lived in nearby Passaic.Quezada won a 8 million jackpot in March 2013 when he purchased the winning ticket at a Passaic liquor store. He took his winnings in a lump sum, meaning he took home 1 million after taxes.At the time of his win, Quezada told CNN the money would not “change his heart.”At the time of his Powerball victory, CNN reported that Quezada was married with five children. However, it was later revealed that Quezada was not actually married — though the woman who he claimed was his wife sued him, saying the lottery ticket was purchased with the couple’s shared assets. A video taken at a gas station shows an Alabama woman fleeing after escaping captivity inside a vehicle's trunk.Police said the woman had been kidnapped and was able to get out when her captor stopped to fill up the tank. The suspect, Timothy Wyatt, had broken into her home Oct. 31 and abducted her.After the woman was able to get out of the vehicle, she ran inside for help. A police officer in Colorado is on leave after comments he made on Facebook that allegedly threaten violence in the wake of the presidential election, according to multiple reports.The police chief in the town of Platteville became aware of the officer’s comments Wednesday afternoon and the officer was immediately placed on leave, according to The Denver Post.The officer, identified in media reports as Jason Taft, posted the following comments on Facebook on Wednesday:“If for some reason we lose do we get to be little bitches and beat the hell out of the other party like they did,” Taft wrote in his post, which was still publicly visible Thursday afternoon. “Because they don’t believe in what we do. In fact in case we actually let Biden win. There will be far fewer results than this year because we’ll help them find God. Democrats you were scared of Trump now’s the true time to be afaird. We will do what you have done to our city’s and prevail p.s. please meet me at the battle grounds.”He followed up with a comment on his original post, saying “I’m ready to leave my job just so I can hurt these people that act like they know what real life is about. Those who wanted to cast their ballot without wearing a mask could do so there, as masks were required inside the school to vote.The weather in New Hampshire Tuesday was cold and windy. A gust blew the tent into the air and it fell over.“If anyone has seen 'The Wizard of Oz' and Dorothy and Toto and everything else, or 'Twister,' yes, unfortunately, we did have an incident,” Bill Klein, town moderator in Bedford, told the New Hampshire Union Leader.The 72-year-old poll worker had a cut on his face and was taken to the hospital to be checked out, according to the Washington Post. A Southwest Airlines flight from Chicago to Newark, New Jersey, made an unplanned landing Wednesday after a window cracked, the Federal Aviation Administration and passengers said.Flight 957 was diverted to Cleveland after a report of an issue with a window aboard the aircraft, FAA spokeswoman Elizabeth Cory said. It landed safely at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, she said.Passenger Linda Holley texted her son Ryan with a picture of the damaged window."Window on plane cracked during flight. Landing in Cleveland to be safe. Everything ok but scary," one of her texts read.In another, she said: "Yes Southwest. Just heard loud noise. Very large crack with piece of window missing at bottom. Just landed. Everything ok. Don't know plan yet"The FAA said it will investigate what caused the window to crack.
