Relatives of Richard Russell say they are "stunned and heartbroken" after the airline worker stole a passenger plane Friday from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and was killed when he crashed 25 miles away."This is a complete shock to us," the family said in a statement Saturday night. "We are devastated by these events, and Jesus is truly the only one holding this family together right now."The statement said Russell, 29, was "a faithful husband, a loving son and a good friend."Referring to audio recordings of Russell talking to air traffic control during his hour-long flight, the statement said his "intent was not to harm anyone. He was right in saying that there are so many people who have loved him."Russell, a Horizon Air ground service agent for three and a half years, was the only person aboard the plane, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department said. The job of a ground service agent includes directing aircraft for takeoff and gate approach, handling baggage and tidying and de-icing planes, authorities said.The incident, which the FBI's Seattle office did not consider terrorism, raises questions about airport security. (KGTV) - The young man found shot to death in a Ramona home was identified by his roommate Monday as a resident of Ukraine.San Diego County Sheriff's deputies got a 911 call reporting Sunday at 8 p.m. reporting shots fired near the home on Wood Rock Lane. They found the victim dead inside.Four people live in the home, including Ben Ledbetter. He said the victim, a 20-year-old man, worked for Ledbetter's mobile detailing business for four years. Ledbetter believes he is being targeted and said someone killed his best friend out of anger."He's 100 percent good.  His heart is strong, his will is strong.  His attitude was positive.  You couldn't kill a better person.  He was the best person you could ever know," Ledbetter said.The victim's name is being withheld until his family can be notified.Deputies shut down the area near the home until 1 p.m. Monday to search for evidence. Ledbetter told 10News that detectives took his phone, truck and clothes as part of the investigation.Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact sheriff’s Homicide Detail at 858-974-2321 or 858-565-5200.   1182

(KGTV) — Two people were killed and a third person was seriously hurt in a head-on collision in Ramona on Wednesday.CHP said at about 12:15 p.m., a 56-year-old woman was driving a 2016 Ford Focus northbound on Mussey Grade Road, south of Mahogany Ranch Rd., at a high rate of speed. At the same time, an unidentified woman was driving a 2017 Subaru Impreza southbound on the same road.For reasons that are unclear, CHP said the driver of the Focus lost control of her vehicle and veered into the opposite lane, colliding head-on with the Impreza.The driver of the Focus and a male passenger in the Impreza died at the scene, CHP said. The driver of the Subaru was taken to Palomar Medical Center with major injuries.CHP says they believe both occupants in the Subaru were wearing a seat belt, but the driver of the Ford was not at the time of the crash.It's unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash. 943
