SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A man was injured in a machete attack in San Diego’s Talmadge neighborhood Thursday night, San Diego Police say. According to police, the incident happened just before 7 p.m. on the 4800 block of of El Cajon Boulevard.Police say the suspect walked up to the victim, who was sitting in his car, and attacked him with the machete. RELATED: Video shows machete attack in EscondidoPolice say the suspect shattered the vehicle’s windows with his machete. The victim got out of the car and ran off. But the suspect threw the weapon at the victim. The blade hit the victim in the back as the suspect then ran away.The victim received a a 3-inch cut on the ride side of his back, and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. (AP) — A medical team at a southwestern Louisiana hospital worked through the night to care for 19 tiny babies as Hurricane Laura slammed the region. Officials at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for Women first had to transfer the 19 babies in the neonatal intensive care unit to the main hospital in the system after it became clear that the women's hospital could be swallowed in storm surge. Then the team of two neonatal nurse practitioners, 14 nurses, three respiratory therapists, and a doctor cared for the babies while the wind howled around them. But Dr. Juan Bossano said the babies seemed to weather the storm just fine. 638

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- One man is in jail after police say he bit an officer while resisting arrest. The incident happened in the East Village at approximately 4:30 a.m. Monday morning near Market Street. Police say they received a report of a man behaving erratically and when they arrived the man was rolling around in the the middle of the street. Video shows officers approach the man attempting to resolve the situation peacefully when the man backs away and falls on the the 10News Breaking News Tracker vehicle. Police say the man bit an officer on the knuckle as they were detaining him. He was transported to a hospital where police say he vandalized hospital equipment. The unidentified man was then released by the hospital into police custody where he is facing vandalism and resisting arrest charges. 824

 President Donald Trump's attorney Jay Sekulow announced Sunday that Joseph diGenova and Victoria Toensing will not join Trump's legal team for the Russia probe."The President is disappointed that conflicts prevent Joe diGenova and Victoria Toensing from joining the President's Special Counsel legal team.
