Health officials in Rockland, New York, say that a group who attended a recent party sparking a localized outbreak of coronavirus cases are not cooperating with officials.Health Commissioner Dr. Patricia Schnabel told reporters on Wednesday that a subpoena will be issued in order to force the party attendees to comply with the county’s contact tracing efforts. Dr. Schnabel said that eight subpoenas in total will be issued.Health officials hope to be able to find out who those party attendees have been in contact with amid efforts to minimize the spread of the virus.Dr. Schnabel said that the host, who was symptomatic at the time of the party, infected seven others with the virus. All eight are in their 20s, she said.Dr. Schnabel said that health investigators have been hung up on by infected revelers, or allegedly been lied to.“They deny being at the party even though we have found their name from another party attendee, or a parent provides us with the information” she said. “Many do not answer their cellphones or call back. GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (AP) — Police in Texas say the actor Eddie Hassell has died in a shooting.The 30-year-old was known for his roles in the NBC show “Surface” and the 2010 film “The Kids Are All Right.”Police say the shooting happened early Sunday in the Dallas suburb of Grand Prairie.Officers responded to the shooting in the 3000 block of West Bardin Road at about 1:50 a.m. and located Hassell suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. First aid was rendered as the Waco resident was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.Police say they don't yet have a motive, but that a car had been taken from the scene of the shooting. Glen “Big Baby” Davis, former NBA player best known for his role on the 2008 championship Boston Celtics, was arrested at a Hampton Inn in Aberdeen, Maryland last month.According to court records, the hotel owner smelled marijuana coming from Davis' room on February 7th.When the owner knocked on room 208, someone inside the room told him to “F--- off!”Aberdeen police then responded to the hotel and Davis gave signed consent to search his room"They recovered 126 grams of marijuana,” said Aberdeen Police Lieutenant William Reiber, “In addition to that there was a brief case that contained ,164 of U.S. currency along with a ledger that contained language which is consistent with someone involved in the sale and distribution of narcotics."The ledger was of names of people of who owed money along with baggies for individual packaging of a quarter pound of marijuana.The strains were called "Sour D" and "Berry," all from a Los Angeles wholesaler court records show Davis told police he was in business with.It all resulted Davis’ arrest followed by an indictment weeks later on seven counts of drug possession and distribution.Aberdeen Police say it was during the booking process when it became apparent who Davis is in the sports world.He told officers he was in Harford County, Maryland visiting family."There was a statement that was made about the purpose of the trip but at the end of the day we don't know exactly,” Lt.
