Outdoor equipment retailer REI announced they are looking to sell their brand new corporate headquarters in Washington, as they embrace working from home and remote work options.“The dramatic events of 2020 have challenged us to reexamine and rethink every aspect of our business and many of the assumptions of the past. That includes where and how we work,” said REI President and CEO Eric Artz, in a video call with employees Wednesday. “As a result, our new experience of 'headquarters' will be very different than the one we imagined more than four years ago.”The company’s headquarters is being built in the Seattle area, in Bellevue, and is roughly 400,000 square feet and sits on eight acres of land. Corporate staff was planning on moving in to the newly-completed building this summer, according to the Seattle Times. REI transitioned to nearly 100 percent remote work in early March for corporate staff. Papa John's is trying to repair the damage caused by its CEO's controversial comments about the NFL protests.Two weeks ago, CEO John Schnatter triggered fierce criticism by saying the pizza chain's sales were hurt by the NFL's handling of the controversy over players kneeling during the National Anthem to protest police violence and racial injustice."This should have been nipped in the bud a year and a half ago," Schnatter said on a conference call with investors. She even went as far as suggesting using a mask that covers the nose and mouth.Tam says you can also reduce your risk by monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms and not having sex if someone is experiencing those symptoms.Tam also suggests limiting alcohol and drug use, so you and your partner are able to make safe decisions.Additionally, you should be aware if you or your partner may be at higher risk for more severe outcomes of COVID-19. That includes people with underlying medical conditions, those with compromised immune systems, and people living with obesity.“Current evidence indicates there is a very low likelihood of contracting the novel coronavirus through semen or vaginal fluids,” said Tam. “However, even if the people involved do not have symptoms, sexual activity with new partners does increase your risk of getting or passing COVID-19 through close contact, like kissing. (KGTV) — Border Patrol says agents arrested two people on Thursday in separate incidents of methamphetamine smuggling.The first incident occurred when agents stopped a woman driving a 2006 Honda Accord at the Interstate 8 checkpoint in Pine Valley. The woman was referred to secondary inspection, where agents say a canine team discovered 64 packages of methamphetamine hidden in the vehicle’s quarter panels and gas tank. The drugs are worth an estimated street value of 6,175.The 22-year-old U.S. citizen and the narcotics were turned over to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.Several hours later, a 19-year-old U.S. citizen driving a 2005 Ford Mustang was stopped at the same checkpoint. He was referred to a secondary inspection where a canine team also discovered 39 packages of meth inside the vehicle’s gas tank, worth an estimated street value of ,250.The man and the drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.Once again our agents have intercepted these dangerous drugs before they could reach the streets, poisoning our community. Witnesses say the man tried to use counterfeit bills to buy food and was refused.He killed Maribel Merino-Iba?ez, 28, and severely injured Mario Rojas, who is a grandfather.Friday, a drawing of Maribel's ghost above wilted flowers showed her loved ones still feel the emptiness.Rojas barely escaped that night and is still going back to the hospital."I still have more surgeries coming in, I think probably next month," Rojas said over the phone.He was shot in the arm and the stomach, which has led to back complications.
