(KGTV) - A San Bernardino County woman is suing the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and state Natural Resources Agency for not acknowledging the existence of Bigfoot.Claudia Ackley told The Press-Enterprise she ran into the long-fabled creature while hiking in Lake Arrowhead last year. Ackely said she was hiking late one March day when she and her two daughters ran into a Sasquatch."I ran into a Sasquatch – a Bigfoot. We were face to face. He was 30 feet up in the tree," Akley told the paper. "He looked like a Neanderthal man with hair all over him. He had solid black eyes. He had no expression on his face at all. He did not show his teeth. He just stared at the three of us."Ackley said her daughter told her she saw two other creatures run away following the encounter, adding that her daughter captured the encounter on video - which Press-Enterprise published online."People have to be warned about these things. They are big," Ackley said. (KGTV) — Former Blink-182 guitarist and Poway native Tom DeLonge is set to host a History Channel series centered on proving the existence of UFOs.The six-part series "Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation" will feature DeLonge's interview with a former military intelligence official, Luis Elizondo, who confirmed the Pentagon's UFO program. According to the Associated Press, Elizondo told The New York Times in 2017 he used to run the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. (KGTV) – In an effort to conserve energy amid a lingering heat wave, DMV offices across California will close at 3 p.m. from Monday through Wednesday this week.The decision to close early was made to save energy and “protect the health and safety of customers and employees from high heat impacts,” officials with the agency said.The early closures run from Aug. 17-19.DMV offices will accommodate customers -- with and without appointments -- until 2:30 p.m. on the specified days.Customers who have appointments on the specified days between 2:30 p.m.-5 p.m. will be contacted and have their appointments rescheduled.DMV officials said customers can visit the agency’s website for many services.Officials added: “The DMV is also using shade structures where available, offering mobile tickets so customers can wait in an air-conditioned car or other building and return when it is their turn, and making water available to customers and employees.During the closures and where possible, DMV employees will telework. Those currently working from home during this period of excessive heat will continue to do so and are encouraged to reduce energy consumption, especially during peak hours.The DMV is also reducing energy consumption throughout the day by turning off all unnecessary lights and equipment and closing blinds and other window coverings. Industry officials have blamed the price hike in part on refinery problems and demand across the state.While areas will climb back down at different rates, GasBuddy believes most areas will see lower prices before Memorial Day and stay that way through the summer months.MAP: To find the best price on gasoline around San Diego County"It’s been a rough spring at the pump with prices advancing at a maddening pace and multi-year highs happening in more places than I can count on two hands," Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said in a release.
