Johnson & Johnson announced it has paused its coronavirus vaccine trials on Monday following an “unexplained illness” among one of its participants.Johnson & Johnson stressed that adverse events during trials are expected, and a pause gives researchers an opportunity to review all of the medical information before moving forward with the trial. It's part of a plan to redevelop the former 76 gas station at Pearl Street and Eads Avenue in downtown La Jolla, a station infamous for charging among the highest gas prices in the city. The station has been closed for about the last two years."It's a blighted area on Pearl," said developer David Bourne. JULIAN, Calif. (KGTV) -- More than 1,600 people will be without power in Julian Wednesday as San Diego Gas and Electric crews work to replace equipment. The power company said power will be turned off from noon to 5 p.m. to accommodate the work. “To minimize impact on schools, the planned outage is occurring on a day when schools in the area are scheduled to get out early,” the company said. The company also warned that the work may take longer than expected should any weather conditions or unforeseen events unfold.SDG&E says customers in the area should unplug all sensitive electrical equipment to prepare.
