 SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The San Diego County Board of Supervisors will consider an appeal Wednesday intended to block construction of a Hindu temple on county land.Community members are concerned that a proposed Sringeri Vidya Bharati Foundation temple may increase traffic and have a "negative impact on community character," according to the county.The 10-acre building is proposed for a vacant 19-acre plot north of and adjacent to Old San Pasqual Road and south of State Route 78, between Summit Drive and San Pasqual Trail.The county Planning Commission approved a major land use permit for the temple in February.County Planning and Development Services officials recommend that supervisors deny the appeal so construction can move forward. 759

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - An 18-year-old Ohio man, Justin Olsen, was arrested after being accused of threatening federal agents and having a cache of weapons found in his home. A court complaint states the investigation began when FBI agents in Anchorage, Alaska were researching the website “iFunny” in February of this year and saw the postings by a user named “ArmyOfChrist” supporting mass shootings and the targeting of Planned Parenthood. In June, the same user, while discussing the 1993 siege in Waco, Texas with another user, posted: “In conclusion, shoot every federal agent on sight.”In March, the FBI subpoenaed iFunny for subscriber information about ArmyOfChrist, and they returned a Google email address. In July, the FBI subpoenaed Google for information on the associated email address. Google provided Olsen’s name and IP address, which was determined to be located in Boardman, Ohio.Court documents say Olsen told the FBI during his arrest that the comments were only a joke. He admitted to making the comments on the internet regarding shooting federal agents on sight, and stated, “that’s a hyperbolic conclusion based on the results of the Waco siege…where the ATF slaughtered families.”According to the complaint, agents seized 15 rifles, 10 semi-automatic pistols and roughly 10,000 rounds of ammunition from the home where Olsen lives with his father during the arrest. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - New video reveals clues into a shootout that shook up a neighborhood in Clairemont Friday morning. At Broadlawn Street and Batista Street, the quiet was shattered just past 10 a.m., leaving neighbors like Julia Mauriello dumbfounded. "I heard a loud series of sounds I was not familiar with. I came out to find there was a gun battle on my street," said Mauriello. That morning, San Diego Police evidence markers revealed the location of the spent rounds. There were few clues about what happened, until now. A neighbor's Ring video obtained by 10News shows that in the 50 seconds before the shooting, a speeding black truck turns onto the street past a dark green sedan, which then begins to move.In the next video, the truck is stopped on the street. Not far away, someone emerges from the passenger side of the car and starts firing. After about six shots exchanged, the person gets back in the car. The car backs up and peels out.Another surveillance camera shows the truck racing out of the area, before returning, possibly to survey the damage. "So scary. This happened in front of my home. All of my children were on my lawn just an hour before the shots. YORK, S.C. – A South Carolina woman pleaded guilty to fatally poisoning her husband by putting eye drops into his water for days. The woman, Lana Sue Clayton, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. News outlets report that the 53-year-old pleaded guilty Thursday to voluntary manslaughter and tampering with a food or drug. Clayton admitted to giving her husband drinks laced with Visine. She poisoned him with the eye drops for three days in July 2018 before the poison eventually caused his death.
