A comedy of errors ensued when a Florida woman wanted to catch a little shut eye in a car she didn't own.According to a post on the Marion County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, a deputy responded to an auto dealership on Saturday regarding a suspicious incident and found a 62-year-old woman locked inside a car for sale on the lot. 361

A man is being charged with assault after fighting with an IHOP manager last week after the manager asked the party to leave a IHOP in Memphis, WREG-TV reported. According to WREG, the IHOP manager asked Malachi O'Kelley's party of five to leave for being loud. A video of the incident shows most of the party leaving when O'Kelley allegedly attacked the manager. One of the members of the party threw a chair at the manager during the scuffle. Other members of the party also threw plates at IHOP employee. The manager responded by throwing a chair at one of the members of the party.WREG reported the manager received multiple stitches to the back of his head, above the eye and near the eyebrow. No other people have been charged in connection to last week's incident. The manager is reportedly back to work, and is looking at increasing security at the restaurant.  Note: Viewers may find video of incident disturbing 984

A former Texas police officer was sentenced to 15 years in prison Wednesday for the shooting death of an unarmed black teen last year in the Dallas suburbs.A jury convicted former Balch Springs Officer Roy Oliver, 38, of murder on Tuesday for killing 15-year-old Jordan Edwards. Jurors returned to court Wednesday for his sentencing, where prosecutors sought at least 60 years, while the defense argued for 20 years or less.Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson called Oliver a "killer in blue" who violated his oath to protect citizens. Her colleague, Michael Snipes, made the reference to Mr. Hyde, the violent side of Dr. Jekyll in Robert Louis Stevenson's novella.Defense attorney Bob Gill argued that his client, who fired into a vehicle carrying Jordan, had to decide quickly how best to protect his partner. 830

A gunman armed with a .38 revolver and a shotgun walked into Santa Fe High School in Texas on Friday and killed 10 people, according to authorities.Two days later, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is still touting a shotgun giveaway on his website.The entry period for the drawing began on May 1 -- before the shooting in Santa Fe -- and ends on May 31.Participants in the giveaway enter with a chance to win a 0 certificate that can be redeemed at a licensed gun dealer in Central Texas. Entrants must be Texas residents, per the governor's campaign website, and at least 18 years old. They must also be legally allowed to buy a pump-action shotgun.Abbott's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the shotgun giveaway.Abbott's campaign has also advertised the giveaway on other campaign materials.Vikki Goodwin, a candidate for the State House District 47 in west Travis County, was door-to-door campaigning on Saturday afternoon when she came across a door hanger advertising the giveaway."I was just astounded that he was giving away a shotgun," Goodwin told CNN. A bomb threat has caused the evacuation of parts of Facebook's headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif. on Tuesday, prompting a large police response. According to KGO-TV, a tip was received by Crime Stoppers in New York, and relayed to authorities in California. The phone call was anonymous and no other details were shared. Many of Facebook's 33,606 employees work out of the company's Menlo Park headquarters. 415
