“Tiger King” star Carole Baskin announced Thursday that she had launched a new virtual reality game where players track tigers in the wild.In a press release, Baskin has worked since February with developer Xennial Digital on the game. "My goal for decades has been to stop the practice of holding wild cats hostage under the guise of conservation or education," Baskin said in the statement. "Judging from the tens of thousands of calls, letters, emails, and social posts I’ve gotten after Tiger King aired, it’s clear to me that most people don’t understand that breeding tigers are causing their extinction in the wild, not preventing it. (KGTV) — President Trump stood by his demands for border wall funding, following a meeting with Democratic leadership Friday, ensuring more debate into the weekend over .6 billion for his border wall to end the government shutdown.In a press conference, the president discussed his meeting, calling it productive and saying he believed progress with Democrats had been made. However, House Speaker told reporters outside the White House that, "We cannot resolve this until we open up government, and we made that very clear to the president."Here are six takeaways from President Trump's press conference:On the government shutdown...During his meeting with Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer, President Trump confirmed he said the government shutdown could last for months or even a year or longer."I don't think it will, but I am prepared," Trump told reporters. A 6-year-old Maryland child was struck by a car while exiting a school bus Tuesday afternoon in Charles County, Maryland, WJLA-TV reported. The child, who has not been identified, reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries from the incident, authorities told WJLA. Tuesday's incident comes hours after a similar incident took place in Tennessee. Tuesday morning, a 41-year-old woman was charged with felony reckless endangerment and illegal passing of a school bus or failure to yield to a stopped school bus after striking a 10-year-old child boarding a school bus, WJHL-TV reported. The boy suffered minor injuries, and was taken to the hospital as a precaution, WJHL-TV reported. Tuesday's incidents are a reminder of the dangers children face at the bus stop. According to CNN, five children were killed in three separate the week of Halloween in the US. In one deadly incident, a woman allegedly fatally ran over three students boarding a bus in Indiana while the school bus had its stop lights on.  1065
