In an interview this week, Donald Trump Jr. said he is waiting for “due process” in the case against a teenager accused of shooting three demonstrators in Kenosha, Wisconsin, killing two, and seemed to refer to being at the protests and the shootings as “stupid things.”The president’s son was talking to ExtraTV about his book, “Liberal Privilege: Joe Biden and the Democrats Defense of the Indefensible.”The show’s host, Rachel Lindsay, asked Trump about the Black Lives Matter movement, as racial tensions and violence at some demonstrations are brought up at President Trump and Former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign events.After initial questions about what Trump Jr. thought of the movement, Lindsay asked, “The phrase 'Black Lives Matter…' do you understand what that means and what the fight is for it?"“Of course. He allegedly shot three demonstrators, two of them died.Rittenhouse was arrested at his home and faces five criminal counts including intentional homicide and reckless homicide.On a visit to Kenosha, President Trump visited with police officers and business owners whose stores had been damaged by protesters. Illinois authorities are investigating allegations of neglect after a fire in Chicago killed 10 children, officials said Tuesday.Eight bodies were discovered Sunday after the blaze broke out in the two-story building. The other two victims, both 14, died this week at John H. In advance of hurricane season, Florida Power and Light is reviewing plans to make sure power is restored quickly after a storm. This week the company is holding its annual storm drill, simulating a Category 3 hurricane. During the drill, the company says it is incorporating lessons learned from Hurricane Irma, which knocked out power to 6.7 million electrical customers, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).EIA reports the rate of electric service restoration following Hurricane Irma was faster than Hurricane Wilma in 2005. Five days after Irma’s landfall, the share of customers without power had fallen from a peak of 64 percent down to 18 percent -- a recovery rate of about 9 percent of customers per day.Power outages during Wilma declined from 36 percent of customers to 16 percent by the fifth day after landfall.
