BEIJING, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- China has sent a team of medical experts to Azerbaijan to help the Central Asian country fight the COVID-19 epidemic, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin announced here Tuesday.
China is looking forward to seeing greater progress in its relations with the European Union during Germany's rotating presidency of the EU, Wang said.

"Although the epidemic has eased recently compared to the situation earlier, it has yet to be stabilized. There are still a certain number of confirmed cases every day and a proportion of them are cases with unknown sources of infection, suggesting that there are still silent transmission chains in the community. The UCT Program can help us to identify asymptomatic patients and further curb the epidemic, thereby enabling the resumption of normal social lives and economic activities long awaited by the public as soon as possible," Lam said.
China will continue implementing the phase-one economic and trade agreement with the United States, while measures announced to open up China's financial sector will continue, said Yi Gang, governor of the People's Bank of China.
"The imports of aquatic products were heavily affected when the COVID-19 epidemic befell early this year, but the past few months have seen a strong rebound," said Yan Kot Che, a Myanmar seafood wholesaler at the market, located in the Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Yunnan Province.
