Aeroméxico airline confirmed on Tuesday that a flight has crashed near Durango, Mexico, and the airline was evaluating the damage.The incident took place near General Guadalupe Victoria International Airport in Durango, Gov. José Rosas Aispuro Torres wrote on Twitter. A years-long battle between the Cornwall-Lebanon, Pennsylvania School District and social studies teacher Luke "Todd" Scipioni finally came to an end this week when a court ruled that Scipioni can return to work, the Lebanon Daily News reported. School officials learned in 2014 that Scipioni had sex with a female student on her graduation night in 2004. The allegations surfaced during Scipioni's divorce proceedings, the Daily News reported. The Daily News reported that Scipioni and the student developed a relationship during the 2003-04 school year, but it did not turn sexual until student's graduation. The relationship ceased when she went off to college at the end of the summer. The district then fired Scipioni in October 2014 when it confirmed the relationship between Scipioni and the student. Scipioni then challenged the district in court, with an arbitrator’s ruling that Scipioni was not forthcoming in the details of the relationship, and that he should be suspended for one year, but not banned from teaching. This week, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that Scipioni should not have been punished beyond the suspension, and is entitled to return to his job.Scipioni is reportedly interested in returning to work for the district after he and the district settle on back pay. A district spokesperson said that while it disagrees with the ruling, it will abide by the justices' ruling. 1546

Allstate Insurance announced on Wednesday that they are planning to lay off 3,800 employees.In a press release, the company said the layoffs were part of a restructuring plan to lower costs.Allstate will make the cuts in the sales, claims, and support departments."Implementing this plan is difficult as we still deal with the impact of the pandemic but necessary to provide customers the best value," said Tom Wilson, Chair, President, and CEO of Allstate in the press release. "We have expanded transition support for impacted employees including prioritized internal hiring, extended medical coverage, expanded retraining support, and help in employment searches."According to the Wall Street Journal, the layoffs cover approximately 8% of Allstate's 46,000 employees.Roughly 1,000 of those laid off are linked to the pandemic-related refunds the insurance company is giving to customers, WSJ reported.Back in April, Wilson told CNBC that the pandemic has resulted in people driving less, and as a result, there are fewer accidents and claims.Allstate reduced policy-holders' bills back in March, like many insurers. 1127
