Matt Bevin is taking a stand on school shootings after 17 people died in a Florida school this week.It's a societal scourge that's top of mind for Bevin since not even a month has passed since a shooting killed two at Marshall High School in the small western Kentucky town of Benton.RELATED: Trump cites mental health in shooting, no mention of gunsIn a Facebook video posted Thursday night, Bevin called on producers of movies, music, television shows and video games to be part of an effort to “figure out how to try to repair this fabric of America that’s getting shredded beyond recognition.”"Our culture is crumbling from within, and the cost of it is high," Bevin said. "All of you, we've got to step up. We're the adults -- let's act like it. Let's step forward. The speeches will run from 9 to 11 p.m. ET nightly. At previous conventions, festivities generally began in the late afternoon. With a shortened timeframe, a number of lower profile Democrats – think members of Congress without a national profile – won’t make it on the convention stage.What’s the sameThe format will still be a familiar one for those who follow conventions. A number of speeches will be given by top Democrats to promote Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and the party’s platform.Tuesday will also feature the official nomination for president and vice president. Four 15-year-olds were arrested after leading Metro Nashville Police officers on a chase that ended on Briley Parkway.The teens in the chase involving a stolen car are also under investigation in relation to other recent crimes involving juveniles.On Thursday, officers were on the lookout for the stolen Prius after receiving a tip that wanted 14-year-old Rico Ransom was suspected of being in the vehicle.Ransom has been a fugitive since he allegedly shot and critically wounded a 17-year-old across from Pearl Cohn High School nearly two weeks ago.Officers pursued the teens for 15 minutes after spotting the car at 20th Avenue North & Herman Street. They then deployed spike strips into the path of the Prius finally, which finally caused the vehicle to slow and stop on Briley Parkway. The teens bailed out and ran. Three were quickly arrested and the fourth was arrested while hiding in a neighborhood on W. Vailview Court.The Prius was stolen on the morning of February 20 on Neal Terrace.Officers continue in their efforts to locate Rico Ransom. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Prosecutors charging New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft with buying sex from massage parlor prostitutes are trying to save their case. They will argue before a Florida appellate court on Tuesday that police legally made secret video recordings of Kraft having paid sex at a massage parlor in January 2019. A lower court judge ruled that prosecutors could not use the recordings. He said the warrant allowing police to install secret cameras inside the Orchids of Asia spa violated constitutional standards. Kraft is charged with misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution.
